vbf3
Despite all the misgivings I had while sitting in all the beach traffic on the way to Atlantic City, I was not disappointed once DSO finally started playing Alabama Getawy. The Supplication and the Slipknot jams were my personal favorites from the evening. What I particularly found interesting about the place was the eclectic audience ranging from folks there to see DSO and those given comps by the hotel as part of a package that had no idea what they were in for and were back in their rooms by the set break. Advisory Board Herdygerdy Posted July 11, 2009 Advisory Board Report Share Posted July 11, 2009 Jerry, I'm glad you're ok... you sure made quite the spectical after the show with passing out standing up, and you had the look of someone who just got a labatomy... Anyway, this venue at the Hilton was THE SHIT!!! SOOOOOOO much better then that shithole House of Blues! Please play there again!! I loved the crowd early on... you see, the hotel/casino was giving away comp tickets to their regulars.. so in the beginnning there was alot of old people, quietly sitting in the chairs with their hands folded waiting the the "orchestra" to come on.. They had no idea what the hell was going on.. a bunch of long haired hippies at the "orchestra".. suprisingly enough, a few made it through the whole show, and they seemed pretty happy. I can only imagine what was going through their minds... So, favorites for the night for me was the Peggy-O (will you marry me, pretty LB??) , H/S/F, and the best Throwing Stones I think I've ever heard them play. Drumz was amazing, the low tones made my body shake!! Absolutly the best show of the tour for me!!! I danced my ass off, and I'm feeling the results of my crazy dancing today... feet, knees, and lower back aren't doing so well, but it was well worth it!!! Thank you everyone for making the last two days extremely fun for me! You all know who you are! Love you!!!

Forum MVP BillK522 Posted July 12, 2009 Forum MVP Report Share Posted July 12, 2009 AC Hilton--a carpeted flat dancers dream room. Amazing show from start to finish, great energy from the boys throughout. The dance space / sound combination was one of the best I've ever seen, and I took full advantage. Props to all on Jerry's side back corner who were sharing the dance space with me during the second set. Help>Slip>Frank>Playin>JAM was otherworldly. Boy, I hope we go back there again. franknkeene
This is the type of show/setlist where you'd have to peal me off the ceiling at the end. I'm vicariously living through you all of you who were there.
