West Coast Tour

Got into Denver this morning for my work conference after spending 2 full weeks on the road seeing the 2nd half of the tour....right now, besides being nearly comatose laying in bed icing my tour-burdened knee, I'm overwhelmed by the mixed feelings of sadness that I must return home and utter joy that the last two weeks have brought me. I think this was my favorite string of shows I have ever done when I add all the variables together. The energy level was off the charts. I can't even say that I have a favorite show out of all of them- if I had to pick it would be out of the 1st and 3rd GAMH, eureka, or portland. And I agree with others- the sing me back home to end tour was perfect....I was hoping for it and the minute I heard John going into it, my eyes welled up...beautifully done.

I just want to thank dso and crew for all you do- after spending 15 straight days on the road I have an even deeper appreciation for the hardwork and energy you put into this...and that was only half the tour! I also am so very grateful for all of the friends I have met through DSO. I met so many new folks this time around and got to know some people better.....had an amazing time hanging with the cali crew. Can't wait to see you again!

Safe journeys!

xoxo

I did a good chunk of this tour as well and this seems like the appropriate place to comment. I started at the beginning of the tour and saw all the CO shows and SLC, then I came home and caught the tail end of the tour, Redwood through Eugene. I also met alot of great people and even ran into a friend I hadn't seen in 12 years. I'm sure I probably met folks that are on this Forum and others maybe who are not. Lisa....we met at the end of the Eugene show; I introduced myself to you. I was dancing near you all night at that show and a number of others. After reading your post it fit together who you are because I saw you at all the shows at the end of the tour.

I could comment on all the shows I saw but for now I'll limit it to the last three. A friend flew in from CO and we did the last three together. Probably needless to say, but we had such a great time it's difficult to express in words. Seattle had a fair amount of drunks and talkers but they couldn't ruin our night, even the guy on the right side during Stella Blue who was so loud that I'm sure people on the other side of the stage heard him and the security people had to escort him out. Good riddance!

Portland crowd was awesome. Super friendly folks, lots of dancers. The only way to describe the show............it was epic!!!

Eugene was so much fun. More great people. Lots and lots of dancers with space to dance!! There was some serious get down moving and groovin going on with lots of happy smiles. Thanks to all those dancers on the left in front of Rob B!!

Thanks to the band and crew!!! Once again, it is truely difficult to express in words how much I appreciate what you folks do!

Now I'm back home with a mixed feeling of happiness and sadness. I've been in a daze all day and really don't want to return to my everyday affairs. I'm already planning the summer......looking forward to shows and the great people that bring their wonderful energy to make the magic happen!

It was the most fun !!! ... I made it to 7 amazing shows starting in Anaheim and finishing in San Francisco with DSO giving us a super TIGHT show full of great tunes each and every night ... It is kinda hard coming down from it all and getting back to reality ... Thankfully things will be warming up pretty quick over here and we'll be dancing before you know it ... DSO ROCKS !!!

wow first time with dso on the west coast was a blast. i caught 10 shows total (4 CO, 4 soCal, and the 2 in OR). Met some great people along the way and i owe many thanks to the band, the crew, and i even owe some of the fans. thanks for the places to sleep pres, tony, mason, gary, and connie. this community makes me feel apart of something and is a huge part of my life. not to mention, the music is played at an extremely high level. look forward to seeing you guys out here on the east coast.
