ThingsAreGettingWeird
I'm so tired. just got home after stopping on the 24-hr McDonald's on Wisconsin. for now, here's a set list. let me emphasize that both artists played very well in a small, crowded bar setting. nice to encounter JK in such a small place after that jam-packed new year's extravaganza. JK solo acoustic set: Touch of Grey Friend of the Devil Simple Twist of Fate Bertha Mission in the Rain Lazy River Road Deal Victim or the Crime Believe it or Not Giving me the Business (Written by Robert Hunter for John Lee Hooker, from what I gathered from the description) ****Unbroken Chain*** Down to Eugene (to see the Grateful Dead) Ripple On the Bus: Set 1: Sugaree Big River Casey Jones Brown-Eyed Woman AikoAiko Scarlet > Fire > Shakedown Street > Terrapin Station > Playing in the Band > Morning Dew > Playing Reprise Set 2: Promised Land Black-Throated Wind Tennessee Jed Cassidy He's Gone Truckin' > [JK on violectra through NFA] The Other One > Not Fade Away > GDTRFB > Cassidy Reprise One More Saturday Night China > Rider

lunch
Ah, I just posted about this in the general discussion, but this show was great. John K on the acoustic was really something special, and as you can see he played an outstanding setlist. Like Frank said, it was good to see him in this more intimate setting right after the DSO NYE bash. OntheBus played two colossal sets that were a lot of fun too. Had a blast there and it was great to meet DCfrank!

Guest rowjimmy
Pretty cool to see JK playing the fiddle. They serve whipped cream on the cappuccinos there. Peace
