Herdy nailed it , great show , very sweet second set !!!

Bridgeport is so scetchy it is ridiculous ..

the "secure" parking lot scene both before and after the how was not the usual fun and interesting gathering place

that is so often the case.....at 6:00 we went in to pick up some shirts and merchandise for gifts , went back out to the lot not 15 minutes later and in the interim some freakin' LOSER had taken a elephant sized dump on the rear wheel of my Jeep (as it was parked directly underneath the street lamps ) WTF!!!! never in my life ??? I can't even imagine had I come back five minutes sooner...

anyhow excuse the rant , just in disbelief with some of the dregs of society last night ...

any chance Ridgefield gets filtered back in next year at the expense of lovely Bridgeport?

quality of the show , on a brighter note , OUTSTANDING !!!!

Although I'm not sure if I would have ever been able to make it through the show last night I'm sure sad to have miss the Death don't have no mercy :( LOVE the song and have only seen DSO perform it once- at the Fillmore last year when they did the Hampton shows.......I'm sure it was epic.

one of these days I'd love to see DSO do the 9/29/89 shoreline.....love that 1st set

I remember this show well.

It was right after the Loma Prieta earthquake (my house fell off its foundation)

I had to fly to Richmond for a legal matter

The boys had broken out the Help (after many, many years) just before this show and I knew they were gonna play it

I was late to the show and TALKED to Jerry the whole drive that they HAD to wait til the second set to play it (It was usually a first set opener)

I NEEDED to hear the Help that day and I was so rewarded

That second set was a ripper!!!!!

I am sure DSO did the original true justice

The show last night was awesome - real tight, solid show - it was great to see dso nail an '89 show as the one from englewood 6 months ago was a bit of a mess.

Barroco really shined last night, the Blow Away was far, far superior to any other version i have heard, as was the fantasy, hey jude and his verse in death don't

Kolitz also was a animal last night and the drums in general were really good, the beast was out and all sounded great

highlights for me: west la (really nice groove), victim (nailed with midi effects and all), blow away, and from the Fantasy to the end.

they did alternate the verses of death don't with (for d.stone) eaton going 2nd, followed by solo and then into barroco followed by b3 solo, and all three back for last verse, lovelight was very tight and baby blue is perfect

how sweet was a great call -- the lot and surrounds sucked and it was bitter, bitter cold

Sorry, don't know how to use this sometimes. The filler was "Second That Emotion"

thanks for all the kind words. RB

herdy- for someone who has seen over 200 shows you sure dislike a lot of songs....

Mostly cheesy Bobby songs. Sorry Eaton.

Eaton, learn Odessa... there's a good Bob tune...

And NY Steve... keep that seat open next to you... might be checking in sooner then I thought... like maybe 30 years or so! :)

as far as victim is concerned - you don't like the swirling lead guitars riffs and the powerful drums - i love that sh*t and it is so rare to hear - i personally can not wait until DSO nails a Victim > Foolish from summer '90

and i don't know what to say on those others - let it grow is top 5 song of all-time for me, johnny b and the grim ripper are far from cheezy and sailor is just personal favorite of mine

To each his own, for sure.

The second set in Bridgeport was far more my style than the first, though the Masterpiece, Cumberland, Cassidy > Dough Knees didn't suck.

The first five songs were incredibly well executed, but I've always been kinda ambivalent about much of the writing that was done post-Shakedown Street/Go to Heaven. My wife says I'm a snob. :D She's probably right...

It's also kind of tough for me sometimes to disassociate the late 80's/early 90's stuff from how the crowd changed back then.

edited for grammar

I agree 100%

The Drummers rage it and you get that heavy B5 chord to start it up!!!!! Very Dark..plus John ripping UP the guitar with Roland MIDI...

DSO does nail a badass Victim>Foolish....7/12/90 RFK....would love to hear them rip it up again, since it has been awhile...

Let It Grow.....just an all around badass song...how can you not like it and like the GD?

Bring on an Esau as well!!!!

dont forget the Dark star out of foolish. They just did it again in Northhampton, Mass on 11/13 and it floored me.
