Wow. That was quick. I guess there is a real reason to have an i-phone... Search deadbase....

Lazy Lightning > Supplication > BE Women > ~The Music Never Stopped~ to close out the opening set? Should be a joyous time up there here in a little bit during setbreak...

SUPER SHOW! only bad thing I saw, was.... Not One Taper in the house! We'll have to work on Eaton - maybe someday he would release it to us as an audio vine pick! We can only hope! I had an absolute blast all 3 days of this weekend with DSO. Thanks again Dark Star Orchestra! ...yet another Band Beyond Description~

well, this show safely and easily lands in my top 3 shows...(which of course is actually comprised of about 8 or so) ... words fail to describe the energy levels on Water Street last night. every single song had its own shining moment, its own peak... the AllOverNow really bounced, the Lazy, the BEW, the RowJim, the Music, the Deal all just were EXTRAordinary and that was only the first set!! i've never sweat this much at a show... the second set was literally over the top and beyond. the Help>Slip>Drums>OtherOne>Wharf>Slip>Frank was honestly one the highest moments of DSO i've ever witnessed/experienced... to be in that place last night was a real treat. the Around was extremely fast and left me basically gasping for air and water. thanks lisa for saving my life.

dso, thanks for the memories and highs.

steve&kris, wish you could have made it. it was one of those shows..you were there in spirit..see you on friday :) love you guys

Again, better late than never. After that mammoth of a Buffalo outdoors, where I prefers em, this one indoors didn't ht me as hard, BUT it still has several highlights, and maybe they're even better than Buffalo's. And the rest of the show is just Dandy Ol' Dark Star Orchestra, and there's nothing wrong with that. Highlights include El Paso even for just the crowd reaction to a sudden drop in lyrics and smiles onstage, the Looks Like Rain that literally had the hairs on the back of my neck not standing but doing the Wave all the way down my spine creating the sensation I was floating (the bouncy floor helped as well), and the entire second set. When Help began, I thought this wouldn't be a normal HelpSlipFranklins because of it's placement in the set, and then the Slipknot had hints of Stranger, in my opinion, and sure enough it goes into drums yada yada eventually back into Slipknot with powerful lead KevinBass and then finally to Franklin's. Oh and am I crazy but was just the first verse of Other One sung?

Message to Al (first show = the one with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra) and Mark: 1. did you catch the dead's original 9/27/76? 2. did you recognize the 2nd set?!!? and 3. that first show wasn't '71 but 3/17/70 just FYI :) Partial setlist according to DBase: Dark Star > Drumz, Lovelight. Drumz with Lynn Harbold. Drop me a line.

That's cheating.

But more than that, at least for me, I never want to know what's coming at a show. I often find myself cursing myself for knowing a show by memory. If I had my druthers, I would use one of those memory-erasers from Men In Black to ensure that I won't ever know what's coming at a DSO show.

Anyone seen one of those on Ebay?
