I had to hit the road after Bertha. Any Lisa appearances?

The guys seemed a bit subdued for Jack and FOTD. Right side of the PA was crackling a bit. PeggyO got things heating up. Brown eyed was great and Music really got the house moving. Terrapin was highlight of second set for me. I had moved over to center aisle where the sound was much better. All in all a nice show. Not amazingly great, but worth the trip!

I agree that the show was a bit subdued.  Competent but not inspired.  They were clearly having sound issues during the first set and the sound was a bit muted and mushy for the whole show (a little better for set 2).  I was sitting dead center about 10 rows back so the sound should have been great.  A good set list on paper but the band seemed a little lower energy than usual.  I think PPAC just isn't a great venue for this sort of show. The seating and the "keep the aisle clear" vibe just suck some of the energy out of the crowd and I'm sure that makes it harder for the band to lean in.  Felt more like "theater" than "concert".  Still, not a bad way to spend a Wednesday night and if they came back to PPAC I'd go again. Would much rather they played the Strand though.

p.s. The encore with Lisa was great and Skip was rippin' it on the vocals.

@mikeinri I’m with you on the venue and the lack of open space. I mainly stick to New England shows and my current favorite indoor venues are State theater in Portland and College St. in New Haven. Both have at least 2 flat open standing sections in the front.

I’m hoping they hit Deerfield Treehouse again this summer. That was the kindest crowd I experienced in quite a while.
