Forum MVP Tea Posted December 10, 2024 Forum MVP Report Share Posted December 10, 2024 Pretty cool stuff! Here's Queen Latifa giving Shakedown Street a go: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDXGIlmxDkc/?igsh=enMyNHF4dzQyanI4 I think she handled it capably despite it being really weird to see The 47th Annual Kennedy Center Honors will air on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ on Dec. 22 at 8:30 p.m.
Forum MVP BillK522 Posted December 10, 2024 Forum MVP Report Share Posted December 10, 2024 Only three left. Losing Phil does tip the scales. Praise DSO.
Forum MVP Rude Posted December 23, 2024 Forum MVP Report Share Posted December 23, 2024 Does anyone else miss the days you were looked at like criminals for going to shows vs being honored at the Kennedy center with the president and VP and now everyone wants to jump on the bus? Deadco with Mayer brought it way too mainstream. Now you have cops at venues saying “have a good show”. We left deer creek 95 and the cops were running at us not realizing show was over but we did leave through the broken down fence. The sneers from them reinforced we were at the right spot. Fuck this cops.
Forum MVP BillK522 Posted December 27, 2024 Forum MVP Report Share Posted December 27, 2024 Finally got around to watching this on DVR, pretty neat stuff. The mention of Jerry got a nice round of applause. David Letterman did a fun discourse on the band. Various artists did Friend of the Devil, Ripple, Sugaree Not Fade Away closed the show. Praise DSO. Forum MVP Greg from Chestertown Posted December 27, 2024 Forum MVP Report Share Posted December 27, 2024 I lost it when the put up the video of Jerry playing while they were singing Ripple, had him singing along. I do believe that clip was from 10/31/80. I thought that whole thing was more of a tribute to us deadheads.
