I assume Boise state has no wins either. This is completely different than the BCS that put in a 2 loss Bama who won it all b/c they had a brutal schedule. If you don’t have 1 top 25 win you should not be in a playoff. If Indiana was in the SEC they would be at best 8-4. Would Boise state be even 8-4?  Florida played 7 top 25 teams. Evil schedule. 
 

Kentucky played Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, ole Miss, South Carolina and Louisville. You aren’t getting in with that schedule.  To compare that to Indianas schedule with no wins over FPI top 30 teams. At least half the SEC is 11-1 vs indianas schedule.

Alabama lost 24 to 3 to 6 and 6 Oklahoma team. They have 3 losses. I just don’t care for college football anymore. On field performance doesn’t matter. Let’s just pick the 12 in September and giddy up. They already got their minds made up.

there are 12 SEC teams in the FPI spread based metric top 30 including 6-6 Oklahoma. It’s too brutal a league. Note Indiana only played 2 top 30 teams all year.  
 

penn states best win is Illinois. 
indianas is maybe Minnesota 

 

By this reasoning some mountain west with 1 loss should get in.
