Forum MVP Greg from Chestertown Posted February 5, 2022 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 5, 2022 Interesting, Bill Graham bought the Warfield theatre so the Grateful Dead could play there for two weeks straight in 1980, acoustic first sets. 40 some years later, we have Dark Star Orchestra playing the Warfield, acoustic first set. …all the years combined, they melt into a dream… 1 Quote Link to comment

Forum MVP John A Posted February 5, 2022 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 5, 2022 Set list is confusing me.... Help Slip Shakedown was it's own set? Or was that one monster of a pre-drums? One lament I have with the Dead is that the they totally abandoned that tribal beat of a slowly evolving NFA coming out of space. Great slot for it! Quote Link to comment

It was a stand-alone “set” after about a 15 minute break from the acoustic set. Then it was a full setbreak before St. Stephen. It was odd. I re-labeled as their printed setlist had it. They also skipped Viola Lee after Shakedown. That woulda been too much.. 🙃 Edited February 5, 2022 by Dharmada 1 Quote Link to comment
