Forum MVP Rude Posted August 24, 2021 Forum MVP Report Share Posted August 24, 2021 Sad day in music. One of the legendary drummer has passed. Got to see them in 89 and 97. 2 cancelled shows we had tix for in the last 2 years means Mei will never get to see the whole band together. Forum MVP 2muchfun Posted August 24, 2021 Forum MVP Report Share Posted August 24, 2021 Sad indeed. The Stones and Dylan are only acts I got to see in at least 4 different decades.
Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted August 24, 2021 Forum MVP Report Share Posted August 24, 2021 Caught the stones in Kansas City maybe 5/6 years ago.
Forum MVP acududeman Posted August 24, 2021 Forum MVP Report Share Posted August 24, 2021 Like Ringo, a largely underappreciated and underrated drummer. The polar opposite of a player like Neil Pert, yet no less virtuous in my opinion.
Forum MVP Rude Posted August 24, 2021 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted August 24, 2021 Saw them in 89 and 97. We were doing them at jazz fest in 2019 until mick had heart surgery. Plan on going to the Nashville show in October I think. There are still 15k tix unsold. Was looking at the Ticketmaster map and buying cheapest tix there are and screenshotting the sections with tons of tix to sit in. Face of $400 with fees. Insane. But I’ll move to those seats from my $50 seats. There’s a whole section 50yd line that’s 80% unsold. I doubt many who will pay $400 a ticket havent bought theirs already or many of the older wealthier couples don’t want to be around 60k peeps and just wont go.
