I was wondering if there was going to be a PA, even.  Everyone will be listening to the show via their car stereo, like a drive in movie (oooo-eeee).  Maybe the band will have the in-ear and small stage monitors, and that's it?

Just saw on the band’s website that the second night is an announced show. I checked out the set list. Read it real quick and looked away, kinda like the sun or cleavage. Looks like the band will be ending their stop in Philly in typical Grateful Dead tradition. Getting Psyched!

In the spirit of going on adventures with uncertain outcomes I am going to

give this a go.

I have survived daughters wedding healthy...

I am tired of lockdown nonsense...

It supports the band...

May need some friends...

To anyone interested in scoping out the layout, search Instagram for #liveindrivein or do a location search for Citizen’s Bank Park. There has only been a comedy show thus far, but you can see the layout and some pics from various Instagram posts and check ins.

Thx, was just going to try to youtube the drive in scene to see the layout.  Nice, people are outside their cars!  So it'll be basically watching the show from the lot sans a shakedown street but you never know.  I'm excited got my Blue lot pass.  Took for granted getting to go to multiple DSO shows a year.  Better savor the flavor

Thanks for posting the photo. The layout looks tight. I was under the impression there would be more space around each car for hanging and dancing within your space. Will be an interesting experiment. I would be there if I was within a 10-12 hr drive but not able to go cross country right now. I’m thankful the band is getting to play live and I’m confident deadheads will make it a really good time under the unique circumstances!

I’m figuring on my SUV in backwards, rear facing stage, turn the back into a soft spot, hatchback up for sun/rain protection, all four doors open, got a Bose speaker in each door. Not sure how I’m going to smuggle in a port a potti. Still working on that. Might just mount a toilet seat on a five gallon bucket.

I  may not be  that tech smart but shouldn’t there  be a way to pick up the music on ur phone and then play it on your headphones or Bluetooth into car?

Not to tough for TicketMaster to use some of those fees to supply a signal right on site to an app that stream the music live

Or is the music just loud enough that u don’t need anything?

It depends on what kind of phone you have. Some Android phones have an FM tuner built in, but iPhones don’t.

So here’s how you do it. Pickup truck. 2 large PA size Bluetooth speakers. There are some JBL ones that are like 3 feet high for 300-400. Your neighbors will thank you.

so jeeps and pickup trucks are “live nation approved vehicles” it says lol. We now live in crazy town. I’m curious what aren’t approved vehicles? Maybe motorcycles, flat bed trucks?  Buford T justice style cars?

So, I’m telling the guy who owns the farm I work at a couple of days a week that I won’t be around Labor Day weekend, I am going to see some music. He asks me what kind of music. At this point, I confess my addiction to Grateful Dead music. He served his residency, worked as a trauma surgeon In the emergency room at San Francisco General hospital from’65 through ‘92. He proceeds to tell me how, when he was headed to work, he would have to drive through the panhandle area and see the Grateful Dead, Janis, setting up to play concerts on Sunday afternoons. He told me all about the area, described their mansion painted all psychedelic colors. He described the Haight Ashbury Area. He said by about ‘68, people would line up in their cars for about eight blocks just to get a chance to drive through Haight Ashbury. I told him about Dark Star orchestra. He knew all about set lists and deadheads going to copious amounts of shows. I thought that was cool.

Broke the deprivation and saw Hyryder last night. My expectations was music and dancing again would be a religious experience. Maybe next time.  Don’t get me wrong dancing (even with a mask) was exhilarating but reacquainting with peeps was the religious experience!

Saw several heads that will going to Philly and a couple to “miracle” and join me in my red spot there.

Hyryder is a solid dead “cover” band playing 2 full sets of “electives”. Other One—>Rubin & Cherise-> Dancin in the Streets ended last night 🤪

Doing all they can to keep the music going.

Sold out show with 25% capacity leaves tons of space.

Chose green wristband...so can dance closer to stage and give up social distancing expectations. As opposed to orange, staying in tables and chair area...same price. $20 ($10-15 pre pandemic).

Playing from 7:30-11:30 instead of 10 to 2 not unwelcome. At my age OMSN better opener than encore as by the end... the party is over lol.

Makeshift parking lot setup at Mousetrap (as Martyr’s to DSO) does the job...paying more for less people theory to keep it going during these darker times.
I would do it...do it again and will as they are scheduled to play there and regionally most weekends to the unknown indoor season.

Some band will make a hit around the theme “Dancing with Masks”
