Here's a short but sweet review:  fuck, yeah!

The slightly longer version: 6-23-74 is presented in big, meaty, open, chunky fashion from the reels recorded by Kidd Candelario.  If one must cite highlights, there's an otherworldly Lay Me Down and as good a 22 minutes of Good Old Grateful Dead as you'll find in the Dark Star Jam > Spanish Jam, complete with as a cheery on top a mindboggling transition into US Blues.  If there's a more fleshed out version of Spanish Jam to had anywhere please point me to it. Just incredible.  I'd forgotten how good it was, but for that matter it's never sounded this good.

This is the last release that ever needed bonus material to make it better, but oh my is that there as well, and in spades, with an hour plus from 6-22 that reads like a dream: 30 minute Playin'; China > Rider; Eyes > Wharf Rat > Sugar Mags

The legend that is The Wall Of Sound continues...man do I wish I'd heard that thing.
