Somebody needs to do a poll to see what the results would be if Mister Magoo ran for president against Fuckingtrump.

Doesn’t matter in poll

If -D is next to my name, your name, Mr, Magog, or Fuckingtrump he would get 40%

If -R is next to name...same result

Or...depends on asking city folk or country

True, I wasn’t being serious but you still made my point. If Donnie is getting 40, that leaves 60 for Mister Magoo. My point; Trump resides on a plateau that is below Mister Magoo. Of course, that is my opinion which I share with only 60 percent of the population.

People with R1 and D1 license plates have told me what really matters Is who wound up not voting. Interestingly they are like 40% of eligible voters on a better than average election day.

What are the chances of summer tour?

My bet is slim to none.  Even once it's deemed that social distancing has done its thing, the floodgates will not be opened right up.  Back to normal will be a gradual process.

Black Mountain.... I'll be there. Prediction made.

our current thought processes are based on the world we used to live in.  That’s our only basis of reality. This is the new world and our minds haven’t completely adapted to that yet. Until there’s a vaccine there won’t be mass gatherings. Consider that maybe only 2% of America has been infected and our medical system is collapsing under the weight. If this weren’t a respiratory illness with almost 10-20% needing some hospitalization it would be different. Unfortunately mild cases are the worst illness people have ever experienced. We don’t even yet know about the permanent lung damage yet as there’s no free medical personnel to study recovered people. My business is mostly supplying national conventions. I’m fucked for the next year. I’ve accepted this. I think reading Gavin Newsom say do you really think we will be putting 60k people in a football stadium in September sort of set that reality in stone for me. I guess we can hope that some miracle drug can stop this but a vaccine on a scale that we can all receive it is well over a year away.  Doesn’t matter if it’s perfected in 3 months. Production is the issue. Takes a while to scale up to 300m doses.

Even Owsley couldn’t come up with that many doses. I couldn’t agree more. Well put. That’s the determining factor. Hamilton acoustic shows got pushed off until July. Cautiously optimism has evolved into serious doubts.  As much as I want it, we are not in control of this.

Of course the whole vaccination issue is already territory that can be debated up and down and left and right as far as the eye can see,,,,,but I am concerned that one of the outcomes of this pandemic will be the potential for required vaccinations for a whole population...yipes...I don't like the sound of that whether I believe in vaccinations being helpful vs harmful or not....

Aside from the concept required vaccinations, I can see the writing on the wall that there will at the very least be tremendous social pressure on all to get future flu vaccinations (presumable including for COVID-19) and intense shunning and stigmatizing to those who choose not to if they are allowed to.

Look up what Bill Gates has to say right now....global vaccinations for all

The only fix I see is masks in public like the Asian countries require to go out in public. I’ll wear a mask to do Colorado shows. No problem. The band can wear masks and have Koritz sample the lyrics on a turntable as it’s probably hard to sing with a mask. Sug sug sug chickachicka sug sugaree whockawocka. Lots of dead bands out there but how many are scratchin on a turntable. Or maybe the band takes on a devo look but with actual cdc lvl 4 suits, plus the flower pot for good measure. Devo-dead. Or we do the shows in international waters on a cargo container boat for a week. No laws on the sea. Don’t forget the implication ladies....

Lost in the discussion of Star Heads (legitimately) pining for their next show is that the band, who if I'm not mistaken derive almost all their income from live performances, has seen that income dwindle to nothing.

And as opposed to the majority of those who've lost their livelihoods, from hairdressers to restaurant workers to retail clerks and so on, live performances are not likely to come back until some time after the rest of the economy gradually gets back on its feet.  Hopefully the recent spat of playing some larger venues has been sufficiently lucrative that band members have a decent cushion.

I wonder if any insurance policies are at play here.  That would be good.

I made the mistake of camping next to the late night dance party one year at jubilee. With the boys maybe like year 2 or 4 of the jube. It was dub step dead to the wee hours literally right outside the tent. We Laid in the tent and laughed and laughed and laughed shiggidy shakedown street and touch mash up. It was nuts.

If someone fenced off, say the jubilee grounds, maybe July. Depending on our testing capabilities. One way in, entering thru a 15 minute, in car, covid nasal swab station. Then sent to an area pending results. Then cleared to a parking area or escorted out. From parking, go thru a disinfectant spray station, obligatory pat down and into a secured concert area for the show.  Cost would be vip+ range (priceless?) so its worthwhile for the band. Camping and concessions would be another logistical hurdle but possible, l guess.  Limit venue capacity. Mobile tickets. No cash or service pets. Face masks would give extra protection. A finger prick blood test might lessen possible false positive nasal swabs and subsequent castastrophe.  Possibly a doctors physical and clearance to screen the elderly and those with suseptible medical conditions to prevent the greater liklihood of morbidity/mortality if a missed asymptomatic carrier gets in. Doors 9am, show 7pm. E-mail order/lottery system.     Anyone?  Hell, l've flown for shows, so l'd pay top dollar for some solace. I dont know what to think anymore...   now l need a mask to go for a walk outside... and maybe the dogs should stay home...  and the cat will eat thru the door if l dont let her out... maybe it'll just go away...  we (mankind) will survive...  l should get by...

Herd immunity (80% of population gets sick or vaccinated and sustained immunity is attained) is not expected until next summer. Do you see your next show being similar to your last? Just wondering how folks see live music or sports in the semi-near future. How about airplanes, confrences, entertainment districts...

MLB is trying to come up with something. I'd pay extra, suffer some inconvenience, and sign a waiver to see a game or a show (short of a physical exam though). All provided the medical system is stable and testing is available. I just hope there is something to do this summer...

no shame in getting sick and being well again. I relish the thought on some level to be on the other side of getting it. The nasal swab though 😳

you’d be likely be castigated by the ignorant. You also don’t see many people walking around the south With shirts that say “I’m Muslim” for safety reasons even though there’s no shame in that either.

Around and around foreshadowed the war on music With cops busting in. They recently cited someone in jersey for playing Floyd in his yard even with friends social distancing. The war on music and sex is here. Cancelling music events and closing bars are what the far right religious people want. They lead to “sin”.

Bye bye American pie. Pie represents our way of life and liberty.

And as the flames climbed high into the night
To light the sacrificial rite
I saw Satan laughing with delight
The day the music died

I think maybe it’s the other way around. It’s interesting how the fringe right and fringe left have looped around the conspiracy sphere to meet each other. This isn’t a political hoax. It’s motherfuckin nature. We need to feel her energy and abide.
