Tuna
Wow!!!! What a show!! Wish I was there! Love the 'Big Iron' and 'It Makes No Difference'!! Quote Link to comment
count2
This was an amazing show. It blows my mind that they can pull such rare songs out of the catalog and play them as competently as they do everything else. Lisa on Chimes of Freedom is powerful stuff. 1 Quote Link to comment
Forum MVP Island Bro Posted February 11, 2020 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 11, 2020 Fixed seating? Dancing happen? Looks like a very special and unique night. See ya in Ashland tonight Quote Link to comment
count2
Fixed seating and most everyone sat for the first set, other than a few dancing in the aisles. A girl in the front row got told to sit down when she tried to dance. At the beginning of the second set she made a pitch to get everyone to stand, and the room complied. Quote Link to comment
count2
Monkey and the Engineer wasn't on the planned setlist. Some guy kept calling out for it, and at one point Eaton responded that they're playing that in San Francisco so they can't play it now. Then the guy's girlfriend claimed he left because they weren't going to play it, and Baracco said "he's gone? We should play it now" 3 2 Quote Link to comment
Forum MVP Greg from Chestertown Posted February 11, 2020 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 11, 2020 I love acoustic Grateful Dead music. My favorite facet of this universe. I got my tix for Hamilton acoustic shows and was secretly praying for ‘It makes no difference’ . I hope this means that it’s in the rotation. Secretly praying because I know that if you come right out and ask, you’re probably not gonna get it. Same thing with Monkey and the engineer, secretly praying. (Apparently, out loud) I can’t hardly wait for my turn. 2 Quote Link to comment
Forum MVP Rude Posted February 11, 2020 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 11, 2020 My 3rd Dso show was Bloomington, Indiana acoustic in 2012. The band told everyone to stand up and dance before they started playing. I was already up front standing as I started out as a rail rat. The tinnitus precludes railing it now as Jeff’s monitor can be oppressive and lead to days of heavy ringing. The good thing about tinnitus is it generally has no effect on hearing loss and luckily it doesn’t drive me insane like some people. I completely forgot about it until just now but I do have a slight ringing as I type this. Quote Link to comment
Forum MVP Mango Posted February 11, 2020 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 11, 2020 Not his monitor- his amp. His monitor is pointed at him. Quote Link to comment

If memory serves and it usually doesn’t. 🤣😆 1 Quote Link to comment
Forum MVP PoetryGirl Posted February 11, 2020 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 11, 2020 Spectacular! Acoustic guitar is such a beautiful thing. Does anyone here know the type guitar Eaton and Mattson play? I heard a rendition of Dark Star a Spanish guitar player had recorded through Golden Road Radio hour. It was AMAZING!! I tried to find him but to no avail. 1 Quote Link to comment
