zumacraig
Does nugs.net put up all shows for download? They don't have any 2019 shows yet. Is there another place to get SBDs? Thanks!
Hardpan
Nugs is the place to get them. DSO releases a selection of mastered soundboard recordings, usually of elective setlists. Rob Eaton does the work on the recordings, so they are usually released a few months later. They just released the recordings for the fall tour and new years, if that can help you out with a rough time line. There are audience recordings of ten shows from 2019 up so far on the Archive, maybe one you are looking for is up there.
Forum MVP Rude Posted April 7, 2019 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 7, 2019 Eaton used to master the boards on the bus on the way to the next town but it took up too much time. I always thought it could be a good money maker if you sold codes at the show that could be redeemed the next day when it was uploaded but the band has mostly kept the stage for music vs promotion. I think the key to selling lots of downloads is get people when they are fresh off the high of an amazing show, but bands like phish and panic have people dedicated to doing that vs band members working through the night. helpfrankslip
I've downloaded an app on my phone called tapers section and I'm guessing they pull the shows from the archives but most of the recent shows are up and sound amazing
