izaacb
Definitely going to hit AC and Asbury Park, a nice little road trip might be in order to hit some of those farther Northeast shows!

Forum MVP Rude Posted April 9, 2019 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 9, 2019 Looks like Milwaukee either 7/6 or 7/4 at sunmerfest. 7/4 is TBA for headliner but not sure if Dso would qualify as that for a city festival. Dead fest yeah but city wide not sure if they are on the Lionel Richie or JAson Aldean level for mass appeal. Now we just need the mysterious gap in the Springfield concert series revealed for July 1st .
Forum MVP Rude Posted April 10, 2019 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 10, 2019 Ok so summerfest is July 6 in Milwaukee for Dso.
Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted April 10, 2019 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 10, 2019 i did summer fest before. We may be able to make that.
Forum MVP Rude Posted April 10, 2019 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 10, 2019 Looks like Dso has been doing 2 set shows there every year too which is rare for summerfest besides the extra ticket pavilion headliner show.
Forum MVP Dead duck Posted April 10, 2019 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 10, 2019 Never done it before but being on a holiday weekend makes it a possibility. So is there other bands during the day and DSO headlines the 6th? Or would you just plan on showing up for the DSO set?
Forum MVP Rude Posted April 12, 2019 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 12, 2019 There are nonstop bands on like 8 stages. It’s a monster city fest. Schedule hasn’t been released for set times and other bands yet.
Forum MVP Rude Posted April 23, 2019 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 23, 2019 Looks like no Springfield but Minnesota zoo instead. B2Bshows with St. Louis. Eek 522 miles. Not it.
phaedo11
Hi all, I hope the band will reconsider their Portland, Maine venue. DSO played at the pier the last few years, and it's wonderful. Plenty of cool restaurants and pubs to hang out in beforehand, plus fresh ocean breezes throughout the show. This year they are playing in amphitheater that has just been built outside of town. The place has very little charm - well, as much charm as being next to an airport and the freeway can offer. Plus the venue is very good neighbors. Everyone who lives in the area complains about the noise. The owners promised it wouldn't be a problem when it was built, but it is a huge nuisance to the surrounding community. Just a friendly suggestion/hope.
Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted May 27, 2019 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 27, 2019 I like the pier but show is always so hot. With 10 o clock hard stop it just too damn hot to really dance for most of the show that time of year. Lots of good restaurants for sure in that area. Don’t know what the move will bring. Don’t think I make Maine this year but sometimes change is good. Hopefully someone that does the show can compare their experiences of both venues. I would urge you to go to amphitheater for dso. Give it a chance. Highly unlikely dso is going to move venues on date already announced.
Forum MVP Rude Posted May 29, 2019 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 29, 2019 Jubilee got me pumped for the upcoming mini tour. I’ll be catching the 1st 3 then St. Louis and Aurora. That Aurora venue is 5 blocks from where I lived in 2011 and right across the street from Bally Doyle’s(best Reuben I’ve ever eaten) where I saw Mr Blotto and the same night picked up a rag that had dso on the cover alerting me to their existence, so it holds a special place in my heart. It’s also right next to the Hollywood casino where I became a degenerate poker player 5 nights a week for a while. FYI the casino has a free parking garage a block from the venue vs trying to find parking in the downtown area. They may ask if you are going to gamble. Just say yes . Unfortunately the Minnesota zoo show which I want to attend has a body crushing drive and will have to pass. The 9 hour drive to St. Louis for an early show the next day wouldn’t leave me much in the tank.

I’m doing Phil and Willie Nelson the day before, then Cincy on the river, then I’m out until Black Mountain, then out again until Boulder/Red Rocks. Boys in tow for Cincy, Luke is in for Black Mountain, then Colorado is a solo dad trip.

Was trying to check it out online and for some reason decent pics are hard to come by. Looks like just a riverfront park type venue. Wide open. Capacity I think 6k. By park I think mostly concrete riverfront type park. It was underwater during the Ohio flooding. Low lying on the river

Forum MVP Greg from Chestertown Posted June 21, 2019 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 21, 2019 I’m guessing that they won’t play black muddy river at that venue simply because everyone thinks that they will.
isleeponacouch
I don't really care what they play, its summertime and I'm just craving live music. Once Jubilee ends I just get the fever!!
Forum MVP Rude Posted June 22, 2019 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 22, 2019 Well St Louis May be more appropriate for black muddy river. If it was at a riverfront Park it would likely be moved by now.
Forum MVP Rude Posted June 24, 2019 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 24, 2019 Question for the band. Is Riverfront Live cincy going to be indoor or outdoor. Shows they have both options. I assumed outdoor but I also thought the venue was riverfront park which is a venue by the football stadium which is just an outdoor municipal park and this is a private music club. Shows indoor 1200 capacity and outdoor 3500.
