Forum MVP Supplicated Velvet Thunder Posted July 28, 2018 Forum MVP Report Share Posted July 28, 2018 Fuck yeah! I dreamed of going to see the dead in a tiny field with all the fairy and rainbow clad ladies and as I pulled up me and this chick hand jived out “wake up to find out you are the eyes of the world!” From our cars. But then some awesome black dude came on to open and he was keys and rapping and it was awesome.... lol. wish we were there. Happy bday to my tour buddy! Hope he don’t get kicked out on his bday this year hehe. All our friends are there this year cause no fest up there same weekend this time, unlike last year when organic smiles was happening. Still out adulting- will be back in a big way ASAP. The lost summer of hospital tour 2018......... i love y’all more than words can tell!!! Post some reviews!!! kiss kiss Quote Link to comment

TJed
Another grate night at Hampton Beach! Always a fun scene and the band really seems to enjoy playing there. Enjoyed it all well enough but the real epic highlight for me was the: St Stephen/MNS/Drums/Space/MSN/St Stephen/Morning Dew Brilliantly crafted and played. Found the magic, power and joy. Mind blown on that combo! Ready for Round 2 tonight... 1 Quote Link to comment

Don’t think I’ve ever seen those 2 together before Without looking it up I'm, going to say no. Wouldn't surprised if they did Gimme Some Lovin -> ballad -> Gold Lovin though That 1st set is cool in that it could almost be a non-elective. I'd even believe the Foolish -> Box closer, but not in combination with the Midnight Hour opener, which might not have happened post Saratoga '85 which of course was a few years before Foolish showed up. Hardpan
Here's my recording of night one. Lots of fun to record the band, my first time taping after picking up all the gear this summer. Was grateful for a little fenced off area the crew put aside for us both nights. https://archive.org/details/dso2018-07-27.dso2018-07-27.nak300cp4.flac16 4 1 Quote Link to comment
GratefulDevil
Hardpan, great recording. Esp since it's your first effort! And sml, listen to track 19/space. Tomorrow Never Knows tease comes in around 1:20 and builds for the next several minutes. (What was the foolish heart you suggested I listen to?) 1 Quote Link to comment
Forum MVP Rude Posted July 31, 2018 Forum MVP Report Share Posted July 31, 2018 It’s time that sml started live streaming the shows. It does require a smart phone but that’s it besides a tripod. It seems sort of selfish to do all the shows(besides the south) and not share them with the world. You need to work out a Betty thing and get patched in but we’d take aud if not. Share your gift with the world sml. There are so many dead songs that talk about giving to your fellow man. Don’t be the rich man in his summer home saying just leave well enough alone. And don’t rebut by saying most dead songs are about murder. That’s true but there are many that aren’t. Just do it. I even have an iPhone 6 I’ll donate to you for this cause. Gps!!!!! Internet!!! Porn for those lonely nights in the car!! This is the smart phone triumvirate. Be sure to balance the 3 like a triumvirate would. Don’t pull a Caesar(only porn). Use the device for good!! 1 Quote Link to comment

Use the device for good!! It can even be that old phone you retired and does not have a sim card...just uses the wifi. I've done it a few times thru Mixlr for John K shows using an old Iphone 4, an external battery (because the original is worn out) and a small external microphone that actually sounds good.
