slipknotmr
So my ticket says 7 pm but the website says DOORS at 7 pm. What time do you think they will hit the stage ? My friend has to work until 8 and he's trying to see if its worth it to come down. Thanks
Forum MVP DesertDead Posted February 17, 2018 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 17, 2018 Where does he work, i.e. how long until he can be standing in the HOB? Regardless, the answer is it’s definitely worth it. Even if he “just” sees the second set, get his ass down there. Tell him to bring some dancing shoes. Forum MVP Michael Doc Watson Posted February 17, 2018 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 17, 2018 With doors at 7 I would guess the show is scheduled to start at 8 but will have first dance about 8:20....just my estimates...nothing for sure. Forum MVP Island Bro Posted February 17, 2018 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 17, 2018 8 start time seems to be the general norm these days and they are often on stage by or before 8:10...midnight typically the end point that I think they are working backwards from,, but it all depends on the venue and probably 472 other factors.... t.bell
This will be my first time at the "new" Anaheim HOB. It certainly can't be worse than the old one. Anyone been there before? Any insider tips for parking etc? I'm hoping it won't be too crowded given midweek OC and there's a show Friday night for the LA peeps. The last couple OC shows - Observatory and the Grove were both awesome. Wish they would've played the OC and San Diego Observatory's rather than HOB.... tomorrow!!!! For you to omit the Yost Theater show in 2011 means you were not one of the 200 lucky patrons to witness a truly incredible show -- elective 69-70 style. And the last time they played the Observatory it was still known as the Galaxy. Looking forward to a little mid-week magic.
Forum MVP Rude Posted February 21, 2018 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 21, 2018 When in doubt assume show time is door time. A lot of us here were late to the Pocahontas show a few years ago because of a doors 6pm on ticket when show was 6pm.

Oh shoot - I was thinking of the Yost show when I said Observatory - and yes, I was there. My 1st time going back in time to 1969/70 - what a night and what a great venue. I was at the Galaxy too - fun Feb. 1978 show with a really cool jam out of Passenger - saw they played the same GD show in Jamaica a couple weeks ago on the show date anniversary. Here's hoping HOB tonight approaches those two magical nights
