I'll leave it to the professionals the only reason I knew is Sturgill was lead singer for Bobby a few days down there and he could barely sing that slow. Guess that’s why deadhead friends knew about him b4 me b/c I can’t stand deadco and this is deadco minus oteill and others. Makes deadco look like some grateful shred type band
Forum MVP Ammagamalin Crew Posted September 11 Forum MVP Report Share Posted September 11 Rescue Me ~ Great work by Denis Leary that does justice to the NYFD in remembrance of the victims of 9/11. Fortunately DL did his stand up act in Cincy leading up to his HBO special "No Cure for Cancer" gig in NYC. We sneaked in a VHS recorder and captured this show at Sycamore Gardens. It's a little more off colour than the polished HBO version of the gig. Mr. Leary, unfortunately, doesn't do stand up anymore. This was back in the 90's right after the movie Judgement Night. Love me some Leary 🇱🇷
Forum MVP Rude Posted October 1 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted October 1 Random thought within the next several years, the Beatles will have many albums having their 60th anniversary. That’s crazy. Creation of modern psychsdelic music is almost 60yrs old assuming you exclude jazz which created it all.
Forum MVP Rude Posted October 23 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted October 23 I’ve seen more bands online playing Telecasters in 2 months than I’ve seen in all my 50+ years literally. Probably seen more telecasters live in 2 months than I’ve seen in my life. Just today saw 4. But then again I’m sure Mattson and his pedal board would make 1 sound just like a strat. Forum MVP Ammagamalin Crew Posted October 23 Forum MVP Report Share Posted October 23 Leaning towards GA in the bowl for Jubilee. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be getting everything from the parking lot to camp, esp with Duck's command. Already got 3 Emmylou celebrating the music of Guy Clark purchased for 4/3, 4/4 and final at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee on Sat April 5th splurging to stay at the hotel the theater is housed in with a corner room that has a sitting area to view the city. It will be Anna's and I first time in Milwaukee and I've heard it's quite the town to live it up in.

Forum MVP Ammagamalin Crew Posted November 4 Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 4 The greatness of the Grateful Dead is how each instrument is distinct. I'm heading towards that Rochester 77 bass Eyes opener now. Had a good talk with Too Much Fun between BCE sets learning that he was on tour for Spring 78, lucky duck! after that Rochester specifically mentioning 5/11/78. I need to explore 78 more and am looking for highlights you all know of since the shows back then were most of the same songs night after night. Now I've got one to get into that year. 12/31/78 has always been my go to. Thank you TMF, May the four winds blow you safely home Going to my first Goose shows this weekend, completely blind have not listened to them or watched any YouTube. I was told by a good friend to not miss a hometown show back in October 2020 when he graciously let me have the FG fourth seat at our covid restricted policy of you got to buy a full table. Man did that change my life, probably near 50-60 Hyryders since. Very fortunate to be 2 hrs from Indy, Columbus, Lexington and Louisville. They've kinda stopped Cincy so I'll be heading to Headliners Fri after work. Last time there was for BMFS in 2018 People have been telling me for years " you got to go see Goose" I've held off stating "I'm not taking any new applications"
Forum MVP Rude Posted November 6 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 6 this is the most insane setup I’ve ever seen. He made a joke that his HOA didn’t specificity ban lasers and natural gas “fire pits”. He spent a ton on this. make sure to watch the finale.

Forum MVP Rude Posted November 26 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 26 Is there a better single verse than then the coal company came with the worlds largest shovel. Well they tortured the timber and stripped all the land they dug for their coal til the land was forsaken then they wrote it all down as the progress of man. John Prinw singing it adds a lot so it may influence me. And he’s close to death in this live solo show.
Forum MVP Ammagamalin Crew Posted November 26 Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 26 Somehow he always managed to play Sam Stone at every show as daunting as it is, he would find his way there before the show ended. His last show at the Taft theater had a merch line that snaked through the hallway about 100+ patrons long.

Forum MVP Rude Posted Monday at 05:38 PM Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted Monday at 05:38 PM I believe Revolver(1966) is when modern day psychadelia was perfected. Every other band was trying to figure stuff out and the Beatles had it figured. Modern sound. They figured out how to reproduce the modern guitar sound too vs the tinny sound previous. If Paul and John just had 5 more years together. Their work product was 3 albums every 2 years.
Forum MVP Rude Posted Friday at 01:30 AM Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted Friday at 01:30 AM If Dso ever plays Cain’s ballroom again in Tulsa, I’m going. Didn’t realize they have played there 4x. Last time 2011. That place is pretty legendary. Arena bands through time decided to start a tour there to say they played the place. Pretty legendary history of that 100yr old place.
