yetivanmarshall
The final nail in the grunge coffin was last week. Very sad as my relationship with my girlfriend(now wife) was nutured in the grunge scene of the early to mid 90's. We lost Jerry in 95, Shannon Hoon(Blind Melon), in 95, Layne Staley of Alice in Chains died in '02 but really in 1996, Scott Weiland 2015(never expected him to live as long as he did), now Chris Cornell. He was the cream!

Forum MVP DesertDead Posted May 22, 2017 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 22, 2017 Shocked and saddened by this. Love Chris' work. Started listening to Soundgarden in 88, saw them in 91 at the Vic. Saw Audioslave in 2003 at the Palladium. Both shows were fantastic. Knowing how Chris felt about his children, I have to believe that drugs were involved in his death to some extent. Genius dude. Best vocalist of his generation, no question.

Agree without a doubt his vocal style remains unchallenged
