Forum MVP Tea Posted November 29, 2016 Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 29, 2016 They could do some astounding things with an elective-only Jubilee! Wink-Wink
Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted November 29, 2016 Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 29, 2016 I'm still partial to recreations. I would only want an elective only jubilee if that included an in the style of 69 elective. If they were to recreate a whole tour and I am not in favor of this, I would lean towards fall 89 or spring 90. These would have less repeats night tonite although there still would be repeats. They also would allow Baracco to show off his vocal chops. As good as may 77 is, a full tour recreation would eliminate Baracco having an opportunity to shine vocally. Forum MVP John A Posted November 30, 2016 Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 30, 2016 Still a lot of repeats in may 77. Estimated almost every night. I think they played Estimated 46 straight shows. At least that's what sticks in my head when I figured out that stat in Deadbase and realized, as a mid 80s Deadhead, that any repetition we were seeing seriously paled vs years as recent as '77. Once in the early 90s they played Black Peter twice in a 3 night Oakland run. Oh, the horrors.

Forum MVP John A Posted November 30, 2016 Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 30, 2016 When Boston came to Barton Hall, touring to support their first album, they played More Than A Feeling 3 times in the same show, Now THAT is repetition.
