My copy got destroyed. I guess to a dog old news is good news to chew on. You know reminiscing and all. Lol

Please pm me if you are willing to part with yours. No ebay search etc has turned one up. Since I was published in it..... I would like to have a copy.

Your post made me curious to see if DDN could be found online. And it can!  Albeit in a weird PDF format where you can't enlarge the screen.

I never collected those issues, although I do have every issue of the Golden Road.  :)

Randomly looking at the issue you cite, there is a chilling letter to the editor from Bryan Bowen calling bullshit on the quality of the Dead's play in Fall '88 due to what he believes is Jerry's return to his addictive ways. And indeed, Fall '88 and Spring '89 weren't so good.  Thank god there was a final up period for the band starting in Summer '89.  This letter was prescient of course, as the same thing could have been written 5 years later with a far more serious tone, and there were no more up periods to be had.

There was to be a cartoon about a duck in DDN but never came to fruition.

Rude pointed out to me there is a great article in this journal about Rebecca Adams work in sociology ( wish I had been in college then and there) and an ad for the Zen tricksters. Isn't that cool !?!
