Forum MVP PoetryGirl Posted October 19, 2016 Forum MVP Report Share Posted October 19, 2016 Weir performs from new album. Nice grit expressed for me in the melody of this song "Lay My Lily Down" as he sings of the tender, bittersweet journey life can bring. The beauty always outshines the darkness. Nice Wednesday song as we persevere through the week ! Cheers !! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8qnuA7UHTA4

oysterhead
Went to the Ryman, probably the best sounding indoor venue I've ever heard. Second time there and it's a venue that should be on everyones bucket list..went into it with low expectations and left a great big smile on my face. Bob sounded fantastic. Played a good first set which was predominantly the new album. Lay my Lily Down was the highlight of the first set, which also included Johnny Cash Ring of Fire. Second set was dead tunes. Blown away by the band and Bob. Very glad I went and will be a memory that lasts my lifetime
