Forum MVP Tea Posted April 11, 2016 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 11, 2016 Speith sure did wet the bed on 12 - twice. I was about to turn it off when he was up 5 - glad I stuck it out. Stunning to give up 6 strokes in 3 holes..
Forum MVP bs69 Posted April 11, 2016 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 11, 2016 I feel bad for Spieth, but Willett played great to win it. I have no idea why he didn't go to the drop area after he put his first in the water

Forum MVP Rude Posted April 11, 2016 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 11, 2016 I feel bad for Spieth, but Willett played great to win it. I have no idea why he didn't go to the drop area after he put his first in the water He wanted to save bogey. Chipping it from that short a distance would have left him a dangerous chip. You would have to land the ball a foot over the bunker to get any possible shot at the 4. Shooting from 100 yards gave him a legit shot at sticking it close. Unfortunately he choked. He could do that shot 1000 times again and never do it that bad. Pros always try to lay up 100 yards from the green vs 50 and today it backfired.
