5-26 Columbus show

For all of us jubileers that get into the area on Thursday night, we've been waiting on a DSO special show that night or even a few guys doing a solo thing at a club. I think 5-26 would be a no brainer for a big Columbus show. Lots of heads in town and the ones who are going to Summercamp or other fests can hit a show b4 they leave town on Friday.

Golf seems possible. The band and crew will both be working onsite on the 26th. The crew may be working all night. It seems like all of dso has chosen to play daytime sets of music at one point or another. I would say you'll be lucky to get someone from the band in a bar thursday night.

Just saying I'd expect good ticket sales if they did and I'd love it!!!! A Thursday night early entry at buckeye for 40.00 extra and just a DSO show would work for me as well. While we are at it, let's just add a Monday show too :).

DSO soundchecks on Thursday and they have stage work (lights, sound, etc) to do all day.  I don't think they want anyone present for the soundcheck.  They worked up parts of the Terrapin Suite last year.  It might have taken away from the breakout last year if you had heard it during the soundcheck.  I love the idea of an early entry Thursday with no music just let us get set up, but I that seems unlikely as well.  Insurance costs and administrative cost too high to open a day early for a fest this size.  Nothing wrong with getting together with your buddies at a hotel and starting the party there.

A few of us get together at the koa 2 miles down the road. They aren't like the Nazi koa in black mountain. It's a pretty chilled night as most roll in after dark, but it's a nice set up. We have a huge communal area with a fire. This year I'm going as minimalistic as possible. With our primo jubilee spot as far from the entrance as you can get, lugging hundreds of pounds of gear is backbreaking especially with 1 in our party unable to lift anything. Thinking 6 pack cooler vs the behemoth cooler is the ticket plus I survive on disco pizza anyway. Bring the 5 pound M&M bag and beer and I'm set.

Matt u should consider that buckeye lake koa. If you are doing VIP anyway no need to be exposed across the street. I could definitely see the local fuzz harassing people if anyone was mingling outside the RV.

no on VIP ... had the RV parked in said spot last year ... once darkness hit I shut it down locked it up lights out and went to bed ... cause no noise seek no hassle be nice to the security guy at gate with a water etc and nobody bothered me police included ...I was up at dawn ready to go ...

I got my game plan ... always have a backup plan .. if hassled this year will drive to rest stop and sleep there ... I see no reason to stay up late the night before jubilee ... unless of course a young lady some white lighting and a cause makes me ... zing zang zoom ...
