goof56 Posted January 1, 2016 Report Share Posted January 1, 2016 On 12/30/15, I was telling my bros. that I wish that DSO would play more music when Pigpen was with the Dead because most of us were not able to experience these show. I also was hoping that DSO would play Viola Lee Blues. NYE in Philly answered my wishes. Three sets- acoustic which included Midnight Moonlight from Old and in the Way. Second & third sets included Pigpen songs. VIOLA LEE BLUES & Dark Star. This was the BEST SHOW I have seen by DSO. Please play more Pigpen. He added a Blues-Soul sound to the Dead.
