This is a big one.  30 song show and an especially long one at that. Cumberland opener, full version of Playin' closes 2nd set (super rare), 30+ minute Dark Star, etc, etc.

Hard to argue with this selection.  It has, sadly, already sold out, but that's become par for the course.  The only real way to guarantee delivery of these puppies is to get the annual subscription series.

As expected, this is a scorcher.  Sound is great, and Jerry’s tone in particular is just exactly perfect.  He throws in all kinds of unexpected little riffs throughout, like on stuff such as Race Is On.

In the depths of the Dark Star, Phil is absolutely primal.  Very cool for Dark Star to emerge from the Weather Report Prelude jam.

Historical note:  the prelude jam was played a handful of time throughout Spring and Summer ’73.  Finally in early September Let It Grow showed up, and the following night the full Weather Report Suite was unveiled.  And that was last of the standalone prelude jam.  In fact, Let It Grow didn’t show up again by itself, with the sole exception of 5-25-74 in Santa Barbara, until after the break, when Weather Report was shelved for good.
