Forum MVP Supplicated Velvet Thunder Posted October 2, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted October 2, 2015 Really really electricity bright and zippy show. We had a million miles of space all over the venue and everyone got down hard. There was a churning in the music that continued to build and morph into waves of bliss that never quite popped or exploded- instead they just swirled in and out of the next sounds and melted along my fingers which wiggled with joy as I waved my hands in spirals to omg it's still only the first song- well, I did have a hard run!!! And I really really had to move!!!!!! Another best show- used to get scared at this point in tour bc when they relentlessly steal my face right off my head every night I worry I may never find it again but he's been gone a while now n nothing's gonna bring him back so hello Ego I am gone- goodbye! Groovin on into a good ol GSET always makes my 2nd song bliss kick in- righteous rendering! Glad we found some cool clear water- though we can't ever tell! 1/2 step, as u may know and also may feel, is very special and this firing in your face version was deeply satisfying! As we made it to the other shore or the lazy river, the black throated wind came whispering sin and I wondered if we would make it home or if we even should- and I wondered, now that I am avowed to not stay in any one place too long, what home really means? All I know is something like a bird within me sings and though I sing I lil while I fly on so as the snow and rain begins to collect on car windows and I contemplate how I will make it to LA and then back to CO, I think that maybe my home is still the front rail- same as it ever was. Eaton was on fire, the btw spoke of the maras and we triumphed. In birdsong I danced the different textures of each instrument and I really got appreciative of the one drummer sounds as it is giving me an ear for what they are each doing- I really am trying hard to pay attention in the midst of the best night of my life every night but sometimes I just have to give up and be in it instead of watching it.... And then words lose their context and all I can say is: ........... WOW.........! Promised land deal El Paso and set break was never gonna come!!!!! Sweet! Sugared, ok, let's have another set before set break! Yummy! High school prom sparkle dancetime! Playin was ..... Well, it was extremely far out! So far out I can't stretch my vocabulary to the point at which it can be explained! Casey jones and I need air!!!!! Watch your speed!!!! Perfect back on the road songs to take us into second set! Love a he's gone truckin and with a ramble on and THEN a one beat to open BIODTL just topped it all off just right! They were in our face without ever quite stealing it's- we offered our faces joyously! Best dark star ever. Period. Jack straw after drums- yes!!!! Perfect jams all the way through! The sing me back home really actually sang me back home and I was so happy to be here. Miracles. Sugar mags you lil white dakini you! Kiss kiss! So much room to groove! We have OMSN coming tomorrow - but for now we will get ready for tonight in the biggest city I love!!! Kiss kiss I love u guys see u all again tonight! And the hookah smoking caterpillar took me away so I hope I make it........

Forum MVP Mango Posted October 2, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted October 2, 2015 Just dropping by to say that the shows have been top notch, better than ever. #300 last night was super special, including my favorite dark star that I've ever experienced live. Ashland was completely off the hook... Sister shows. Can't get into it with words... On to SF!

ducats
a goto show for me ALL the time. and its funny the soundboards give u the feeling in the room of both the boys and the audience kind of like SVT describes in her first couple of sentences. I remember when I saw my first dso show (Van Brundt I think around 2000. think it was there first time there. KILLER Roosevelt show - 71 maybe? - went on forever) closing my eyes and saying to myself holy shit, if I didn't know better that's the boys on stage. don't get to excited because ive seen plenty of stinkers since anyway, I want to echo gr8fulpair's sentiment but with a little curve. there not lucky they're good. SVT told me I was watching in a thread a month or so back. it's more like living vicariously through. I remember that feeling (like it was yesterday) when partially touring (east coast only) 80-95, and its great to see you guys/gals experiencing it 35 YEARS later. more or less in line...........................
