This stuff is unreal!  Speith just drains a 35-footer on 16 to tie the lead!!!  Heading the Road Hole - perfect drive.

Crazy pressure comin down to the wire :)

That putt was ridiculous. Don't tell work what I'm doing on company time.

Same here.  Speith drops one on 17 and now needs a birdie to force a playoff - same goes for Jason Day.  Oostie may have a shot too if he can find a way to par/birdie on the way in.  They all will need world-class shots to have a chance to tie Fleishman and Zach Johnson

Fleishman needed a birdie on 18 in the second round to make the cut and now leads the Open Championship with Johnson.  Crazy.

Speith is out - history derailed.  Hit a great approach on 18 but it spins back into the valley of sin.  Day is out too.

A playoff it is:  Oothuizen, Fleishman, Johnson.  Aggregate 4-hole playoff decides the winner unless any are tied - then sudden death.

Great Open despite the Monday finish :)  Gotta get back to work.....try to steal a moment here and there

Zach Johnson takes it - just enough in the playoff.  A little anti-climactic after the craziness of all of those in contention on the back 9 but a great championship nonetheless.  Speith was sooooooooo close.  Not to put Speith in the company of Jack, but Nicklaus finished in 2nd place 7 times in majors with 33 top-tens.

The future is bright with the young guns.  I could beat Tiger these days - that may be the most precipitous fall in sports history.

Agreed. Except for Oosthuizen's last putt on on the last playoff hole, ZJ seemed in control. Was really hoping Spieth could pull it out but was skeptical when ZJ carded a 31 on the front 9. Speith's approach shot on the road hole didn't do him any favors. Still had a chance and though and came so close... he's gonna be really special for many years.

Tiger is cooked. All those Hooters waitresses really did a number on him.

I keep holding out for Tiger. Even haters starting to feel bad for him. He's completely lost his game. It's embarassing.

Jordan on the Wizards wasn't jordan anymore but he could still ball. Tiger isn't even average pro right now.

I like Tiger. I wish he'd make a come back. He made the sport interesting to me even as a young'n. When he does well, it's great for golf... Unfortunately, I think the Tiger era has come to a close. It's been almost 6 years since that black friday, I remember seeing the news just before I left to see JK for the second to last time with DSO at Nokia. He's shown flashes here and there but knew that right then and there actually marked the beginning of his fall. Now with all of his back injuries, his game has been decimated both physically and mentally. I'm just glad that the future looks bright with Spieth and Fowler. Not a McIlroy fan but the guy can play. Plenty of other great ones out there.

Dood needs a vision-quest, sweat lodge, a good smudge - Something.  Maybe a good 'Ego Death' is just what the Dr. ordered.  See what you can do for him - I hear the consulting fees are strong.

I agree though.  To witness such dominance from a once every 100-year talent and then to see it all come crashing down really sucks.  Love him or hate him, he is still an amazing talent that just needs to stop tinkering with his swing seeking perfection.  Strip all the crap away, fire all of this 'Yes-Men' and just play golf.   Stop activating your glutes, blaming spin compression, and that you're a tweak away from it all coming back.  Golfing is witchcraft so sometimes it's better just to 'try easier.'

Maybe he goes Phoenix and rises back up - a little.  The window is indeed closing if it hasn't already been nailed shut.

Ever since Tiger was injured and had the cheating scandal he hasn't been the same. He was my fav player and brought huge ratings to the PGA. I recall this hilarious Fox News segment bashing tiger after his philandering came out. They couldn't understand the fact that he slept with all those women. How could someone who's married do that. He must be a depraved liberal. It was so odd they were perplexed by it all and were confused why these women would sleep with a multi millionaire athlete. Of course they love to see the downfall of a black man and they pandered to the viewers who thought there should be no race mixing. On another note i expected fox to do a report on the dead shows highlighting nitrous tanks, deadheads who spoke like they were from another planet, and pot smoking but they were surprisingly silent. A few months back I saw a report on the evils of spring break showing kids binge drinking, smoking pot, and talking about sex. Again they were shocked with this behavior and warned parents to not let their kids go on spring break.
