Forum MVP cm_hayden Posted July 15, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted July 15, 2015 Royal Oak: decent sound, fast service at bars, sweet spot is in the reserve balcony, could use some major overhaul, be careful of RO police, all parking is in city owned garages, safe area, and food is in $$ range. Any specific ?'s feel free to ask.
oysterhead
Good looking out. Already bought floor seats. Going to see JBT on Friday. Coming from Columbus. Was gonna get into town about 4. Pre game with some food and drink then walk over. Any suggestions for food and drink would be appreciated but not needed. I'm sure I can find something
Forum MVP Ammagamalin Crew Posted July 16, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted July 16, 2015 There is a good restaurant right done the street that has decent vegetarian and it's right next to a parking garage, royal oak is where Emmylou and Lanois played last spring. Way too many highway patrol in upper Ohio and in Detroit areas, drive clean, have fun

Forum MVP cm_hayden Posted July 20, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted July 20, 2015 Try Ferndale for good cheap eats, two miles south of theatre. But RO has plenty of goods spots to eat, there are at least four on the same street as the theatre. No need to take the chance of getting lost. oysterhead
It was a good time. Venue was nice. Not crowded. Ate at a Belgian brewery in royal oak. Did some shopping and supported local economy. Would recommend seeing a show on this nice little town. Thanks to everyone who gave me suggestions and advice
