Whoever sang Candy man would've butchered it. Bruce best chance. Just listen to Jerry sing I shall be released. I heard more heart and soul in one song from Jerry then I've heard from Trey in over 20 phish shows combined.

I don't think it got played but I really expected So Many Roads at some point during the week.

Probably best it got left unplayed.

True. I was thinking of many that should not have been played. Visions was one that def shouldn't and wasn't thankfully. I wish standing on the moon was omitted. That was pure Jerry. Stella blue was too big a song to admit but it was weak. Without Jerry that song isn't the same.

I'm not upset with no Dylan.  This was about the music of the GD.  I'm happy we went light on the covers.  Garcia did Dylan songs so well.  Bobby at times too, but I'm not sure anyone would've really made those songs feel special at this event.

He didn't want to give Desolation a spin? About as likely as me solving the Rubics Cube with my feet.

Dylan could have been there, he's still touring

I wonder if Dylan could have done a better job on Eyes/Frankin's than Phil.  And that statement is at least half way serious.

Mason, I'm not the least bit upset either.  Just an observation.

I'd say since it was celebrating 50 yrs of GD, there we're already so many dead tunes they had to fit into a limited number of shows they just didn't make it to the Dylan tunes.

That said if they had to play one, what do you think it would have been? What was the most covered by dead Dylan song? Off the top of my head id guess masterpiece? But I'm sure there's probably a more obvious answer I'm just not thinking of.
