sudds94
4/12/78 Durham, NC set list plus Ripple filler to say Goodbye to Will Fun show , but way too many drunks spilling they're beer on us so we ended up 2nd set on a rug near the entrance where there was fine dancing space, rug prevented dealing with the nasty floor, unfortunately sound wasn't as good, but sometimes a choice must be made. Thanks DSO, crew and all for a great Spring East Tour! Now enjoy some rest and family time Peace

Forum MVP Mango Posted June 8, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 8, 2015 Nobody's right, nobody is wrong... ...but seriously... ...once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places when you look at it right. Stay open. Opinions are self limiting. I can't speak for your experience but I bet that it is more rewarding to dance in a space of open, free awareness, without letting your ideas of what you do and don't like taint it. Once again, I can really only speak for myself but I find that any song can surprise me. Why be in disagreement with what is? It is clearly a pattern of the GD to go from ballad to rocker. I've had nights when I crossed my arms and sat out the rocker. Nothing wrong with that. However, the most powerful experiences are the ones when I take it all in and become a vessel of movement for the music. Torin is a researcher. I think it's okay for him to challenge your views. Perhaps your views could use some challenging

sonomajon
I've never been a fan of around and around..That and Minglewood never did much for me...In 1977 we got a lot of Wharf Rat>Arounds to close set 2...you could never leave because you might miss an UJB or Brokedown encore...To each and everyone their own...To me that's the quintessential Grateful Dead credo...
