4/12/78 Durham, NC set list plus Ripple filler to say Goodbye to Will :( Fun show , but way too many drunks spilling they're beer on us so we ended up 2nd set on a rug near the entrance where there was fine dancing space, rug prevented dealing with the nasty floor, unfortunately sound wasn't as good, but sometimes a choice must be made. Thanks DSO, crew and all for a great Spring East Tour! Now enjoy some rest and family time :) Peace

hottest US Blues of all time ^ dont even try and challenge it

original show also has a smoking Bertha> G.Lovin, probably best Wharf Rat ever,  and perfect example of how Around is not a throw away rick

Nobody's right, nobody is wrong...

...but seriously...

...once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places when you look at it right.

Stay open. Opinions are self limiting. I can't speak for your experience but I bet that it is more rewarding to dance in a space of open, free awareness, without letting your ideas of what you do and don't like taint it. Once again, I can really only speak for myself but I find that any song can surprise me.

Why be in disagreement with what is? It is clearly a pattern of the GD to go from ballad to rocker. I've had nights when I crossed my arms and sat out the rocker. Nothing wrong with that. However, the most powerful experiences are the ones when I take it all in and become a vessel of movement for the music.

Torin is a researcher. I think it's okay for him to challenge your views. Perhaps your views could use some challenging ;)

I've never been a fan of around and around..That and Minglewood never did much for me...In 1977 we got a lot of Wharf Rat>Arounds to close set 2...you could never leave because you might miss an UJB or Brokedown encore...To each and everyone their own...To me that's the quintessential Grateful Dead credo...
