Forum MVP gr8fulpair Posted June 1, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 1, 2015 Listening back on this show today at lunch during my walk-about, cranking the Death Don't in my premium earbuds, I gotta say that this song in particular is one of the best sung songs I've heard Jeff do. He is absolutely spot on throughout this entire song. The guitar work during the solo rose three times and I got chills on my scalp all three times. Unbelieveable!!! IMHO this is some of DSO's best work! Highly recommend this download, and might be one of the last Rob Eaton remasters in a while.

LangeradoSoul
I live about 5 hours away and couldn't leave until late afternoon. I booked it on the highways and byways, going as fast as I could without getting pulled over, ran into traffic in Cinci, avoided the highway patrol between Columbus and Legend Valley, all of which delayed me. Adrenaline was pumping- and I realized it was all my attempt at capturing the spirit of adventure I was able to get more of when I was a youth touring around. Regardless, I pulled into the parking lot of Legend valley, got my stuff situated, found the tent my wife had set up and left for me, cocked a cold West 6th IPA into my solo cup- and at that moment, I heard the music from the stage- the bridge of Saint Stephen. As I made my way into the main venue, I swam towards the stage in the sea of darkness, through the fans witnessing what appeared to be an epic show in the making. I ran into some folks I know, said hello, then watched as the Eleven came forth. I danced. I even did it while drinking my beer from a solo cup, a feat which I managed quite well. Mattson's guitar was crystal clear and crackling over the fire of the rhythm section. Then, Lovelight. I don't listen to this song or this period much anymore, which is perhaps why it sounded so fresh to my ears. THe caution jam was dynamite. Regardless of the music I missed, this was a great moment to behold, Eleven>Lovelight>Caution>Lovelight. My striving, fast car driving, freaking freeliness paid off. Night two- a success.
