Forum MVP Rude Posted April 17, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 17, 2015 Dancing in 6-12" of water in front of the stage at Poca was really easy on the knees. The right side of the stage became a pond. Next night putting straw on top of the muck made for the softest dancing surface ever but caused eaton to have issues. I think the dancers stirred up the hay too much. Note to self. When I win the lottery and have a weeklong DSO private party do not do a green acres theme on stage if I want to hear bobby songs. gmw
Nice read! I was at the run. Great time. When Phil busted out the Gimme Some Lovin' - the place exploded. All these years later that's the moment that resides deepest within me. Thanks for stoking that memory again!
Forum MVP John A Posted April 23, 2015 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 23, 2015 There is a factual error in my original post, and a certain Head, known to these parts, has demanded a retraction! Whart Rat was played at least one other time (notice that now I'm hedging ) pre-drums: 5/31/80 in Minneapolis. Notice that it also come out of Saint of Circumstance that night. In addition, just like on 11-2-84, Bertha occupied the ballad slot. Not exactly a pattern developing, but I like to pay attention to that kind of shit. Somebody has to... Dancin' Fool
Audience... https://archive.org/details/gd1984-11-02.senn421.unknown.gastwirt.gems.77878.sbeok.flac16 Edit: OK, I found myself switching back and forth between SBD and this AUD. While I love the energy you get from the aud, there is some detail missing. Listening at work at lower than desired volume, I guess it doesn't really matter. Sticking with the aud (for the first set anyway...). How does averyone like the new Archive format? Not sure I like the embedded player... Edit 2: Back to the SBD. Listening to first bit of Help on both sources confirmed John's assesment. Phil's notes much clearer and fuller. https://archive.org/details/gd1984-11-02.sbd.miller.braverman.9382.sbeok.shnf (not too sure if this is the SBD source John referenced) Thanks for the OCD exercise John!! Forum MVP John A Posted April 28, 2015 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 28, 2015 Thanks for the OCD exercise John!! Dancin', always happy to oblige. As for that SBD source on Archive, it doesn't appear to be what I have, as the Space>Playin' segment on my source is seamless - as it should be coming from a PCM.
