Ojai (4/12/15)

What a special venue this place was.  There was plenty of seats available and there were people in the back with blankets and kids.  It was a great time.  And of course the show was pretty great too!  Love the White Rabbit.  I've caught one in Orlando last year, then LA last year and then Ojai and I like it a lot.  They get that spanish flavor down a lot better than on the original, IMHO.

Thanks guys for a great show.  What a time.  Come to Los Angeles more dammit!

Ending with a couple of 85's makes me feel hopeful that 2015 is going to be a great year for all us sailors and saints. Seemed like every list from this tour was a "shouldn't have missed that show", I really liked the beginning three and am glad momentum built higher and higher with each show that followed. Big thanks to everyone on the forum for archiving and especially to all members of dark star for making it happen, that includes production and others we don't see on stage! Now how about adding that Springfield show to fill that summer gap?

In looking over Springfield's music festival (June 10 thru July 11) I find that DSO was pased by in favor of several tribute groups covering lesser bands such as, Bee Gees, Elvis, Kiss, MoTown, Chicago, The Eagles, Jefferson Starship, and even Romeo and Juliet by that little known writer William Shakespeare.  Seems they must be getting a taste of all sorts of good music this year. Too bad DSO was left out.

I think they did 7/13/85 from what I can gather

You are correct, ma'am! And a good time was had by all. We really hope these two venues make the cut for regular stops.

Filler: White Rabbit, Sisters and Brothers

Back to our regularly scheduled programming. ..

Ojai is amazing venue with a vibe unmatched ..

only mistake by venue was not enough cold beverages for the masses .. ran out by set break. ..

Good hanging with Joe. .. but you need to switch your forum name ...hehe

The Other One was huge !! ...

no "jerry in red"  - that would have been great!

as soon as I saw the same setup from Paso Robles - I had a pretty good feeling the other Ventura show was going to be played.  It became obvious with the Sat.Night opener.  I didn't know the complete setlist but I knew a cryptical/otherone/comes a time was coming.  they threw me for a bit of a loop with the wheel out of space...

The other one was pretty darn huge.  can't wait to see it posted on livedownloads to see how long it was - but it felt like definitely over ten, maybe close to 15 minutes.

great venue with easy in/out privledges.  it was probably 80% full.  when word gets out and the next show is sold out it's gonna be a bit harder to move around, but should still be very enjoyable.

It was a lot of fun would definitely go again - my only complaint was not getting to the bar right outside fast enough to get a drink , the staff was just overwhelmed

Belly Up is a sardine can ... I have seen DSO at least 7/8 times in said sardine can ..

It would work on a Monday Tuesday Wednesday. .. but San Diego has to have a big outdoor venue near that big water hole we the conquistadors called the Pacific ..which means - Fuck that is a lot of fucking water ... and no not the Wave House ...

DSO is on Humphrey's schedule for October.  I forget the exact date.  mid-week.  GA - which will make the show very very fun!  (the fixed seating there is just as bad as a sardine can)  Can't wait to see what other socal shows DSO has planned for October!

patiently waiting for the livedownload of this show...hope nothing happened to the tape...
