Upon entering the venue, was pleasantly surprised to see the stage set up with one set of drums and a mic for Lisa.

They opened with some Fun April Fools musical teases that included 'Sunshine of Your Love' riff, Led Zeppelin, Free Bird, Barracco threatening to leave the band, etc.... Fun to start the show in a state of humor...

Then they played a dead show...

Looks like they were up for some fun. What - No little bunny foo-foo Tom-foolery?

Thanks for the non-reveal on the show - I'm gonna say/wish......11/17/73 unless the tune-up antics were a clue of some kind. I'm stumped.

Thanks again for the post Island Bro but please remember, a smiley emoticon does not currently constitute a review - just sayin :)

I hope it was good times!

Man, Tea,,,I was convinced right up to the end that the show was very near the date you mentioned. Or maybe a touch earlier but definitely in '73 it seemed. At one point mid-way through 2nd set I recall thinking/feeling how similar this show was sounding/feeling to 8/27/72 in Veneta Oregon which I've been listening to a lot in the last week and throughout the day and evening leading up to this show.

Well, it turned out it was a month prior to that:

They played 7/25/72 Paramount theater in Portland

I reckon I will produce more of a wordy review but can I just say

Oh. My. Goodness. That was a freaking scorcher. Didn't pay attention to the set-up until about 2 minutes before they came on. 1st set just kept going and going and going........ Pure bliss!!! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to catch them in almost 2 years and this may be the best show I have seen since the last time these guys rolled through Seattle. Great interplay between the band all night and just straight HEAT!!!! Outside at setbreak and my wife says "we could leave right now and this is probably the best DSO show I have ever seen". That about sums it up. I can't even begin to describe the post drums segment. Just magical. 1st set Playin was outstanding.

Not nearly as packed as I would have thought but what can you expect for a Wednesday night with a 9pm start. Only drawback, as usual, were the excessive talkers and the surprisingly, highly drunk people. I guess they had too much time to warm up with the later start. Although, I will admit that I really liked the guy who screamed "Chinacat!!!" after every song and was just jumping for joy when he finally got it.

Amazing show!!!

Bird Song absolute beauty..

Sneaker wave in the Greatest Story set off dance party vibe for rest of 2nd set...

Other One out of hand...they let it spill out all over the place completely fallen apart and shattered into a Dark Star kinda vibe and then fully got it comin around again in full glory and into beautiful wharf rat...

Sing Me Back Home was naturally a huge soulful highlight of this show with Lisa's full influence coming through so lovely in the harmonizing...

Rest was fun sweaty dance fest

Glad to get this one
