Amazing. Best 2nd set I've ever seen performed. Meticulously created. From start to end that 2nd set sizzled. Best eyes I've seen DSO perform. I'm not a huge eyes fan but this was just sick. Amazing Stella blue and WRS. Every song in that 2nd set was done to perfection.

You left out WRS from the set list so I just reposted below.

Well that hurts to see the 2nd set was so damn good.  I couldn't make it.  DSO, you have my permission to begin booking larger venues.  It's nice to say you sold it out, and I get that.  We all know you're great and are gaining momentum.  But there was no where in this place left to go.  The balcony was all tables and chairs.  Just no room.  We stayed til second set and got our coats and left.  Sucks to end on a low-note but the rest of our run was great.  See you at the Jubilee where things are more my taste.  And bring back Veteran's Amphitheater in Springfield, OH.  We miss that outside show in the summertime.  Best first-set tune was El Paso.  I don't think it got the applause it deserved.  Rob must have a mind like a steel trap to remember those lyrics.  Unlike mine which is built like a steel sieve.  And a great Playin'.  Thought I'd something more to say, but guess that's it.

That place was the most crowded show I've ever attended. Ridiculous. That place is the Wild West of ky. Sort of fitting for our favorite outlaw music but you couldn't move and the drunks were out of control. Many left after set 1 and we found a nice spot eye level with the band on the 1st riser and it was perfect. No singers or talkers in our section 2nd set. The pit was misery 1st set. We got pushed 15 feet to the very edge of the room 1st set by inconsiderate people and this idiot in front was dancing with 2 glass bottles flinging them around and nearly hitting me in the face twice as this horrible singing chick behind me with an accent that sounded like from a holler on east ky. Then a linebacker chick bulls her way in and proceeds to knock me a foot to the side every beat. We said fuck the pit and found the nice spot with better sound for that great 2nd set. That 2nd set was pretty much an original DSO as the dead show had horns and the jams were conetely different. Their timing was so tight. You could tell how they were just on by instant changes with a beats notice from skip on eyes after his solo. It was just a magical set. Tonight u saw just how good DSO can be and I'm a 1-drummer convert. I got a tad confused as barraco suns sing my blues away with Lisa. I think Phil actûallu may have sung that in the original but rob b tore it up with Lisa. What a treat.

That guy almost hit me with the bottle too, rude dog. We must have been standing next too each other. Keith Godchaux originally wrote and sang ,"Let me sing your blues away". I held my ground in the pit for the whole show. I would agree I've never been to a show as packed as that...dangerously packed. What a great show. That stronger than dirt jam was awesome.

It doesn't happen all the time but sometimes at the overcrowded venues, seen it at ramshead and the newport, the crowd thins out by 2nd set and some of those talkers all of sudden realize those dancing are having a way better experience. Maybe it's the reduction of inhibitions but all of sudden everyone is dancing. When we dance with each other and share space, everyone can move. The crowd becomes like an atom with the dancers representing the electrons. We occupy all of the space and non of the space at the same time. Constant motion. It's beautiful. Sorry I wasn't at this show and I'm not saying it happened there but maybe during eyes the uninitiated started to see.

1st set the singers were out in full force. There were several times I couldn't hear the band and think Jeff tried to change his cadence to silence them to no avail. During Stella and WRS the place got silent and respectful. They played those with so much emotion and quiet nuances and the crowd got quiet. Based on the 1st set no way I thought this would happen. I think valentines day helped thin it out really. Way too many had too much too fast and lots of those left at set break it seemed.

I never knew Keith sang. I learn something every day. Was this the only song he sang? Obviously I knew early this 73-74 and was thrown back hearing barraco.

I experienced many of the same nightmares and euphoria this venue and show offered coupled with the valentine Saturday night thing.

Before show was at bar next store enjoying a goth valentines with live band, photo booth with attendees wearing Jason masks, and chains. Girls in short skirts and black stockings. Temp outside non existent...

First set was marred by comments above. After 6 shows in 8 nights by second set I was pretty much just a shell of my former self at the Vic in Chicago ( no O2 for me lol)...the Indy,Columbus,Cinnci was just stellar. Second set was a perfect ending to my latest run.

Great show! Secured a spot along the rail of the third tier along the left side near the soundboard and maintained it throughout the show. The only problem with my spot was that I was along the aisle by a step so people kept brushing past and of course falling over the unlit step. Everything was well played as expected, I love half step to open a set and the eyes and stella were spectacular. Just a great show all around. The rotation around this area works much better when this show is on Thursday followed by Friday and Saturday in Indy and Columbus. This venue, although cozy and personal, is way too small for a weekend crowd.
