Freaking crazy-town! Thursday and Friday are honestly my favorite days of the year on the sporting calander. Looks like yesterday was yet another testament that March Madness is the top of the heap!

I used to take this Thurs and Friday off every year cuz my old boss knew I was pretty much useless on these days anyway. Next boss is not a sports fan and popped his head in my office about 15 times yesterday. Ugh.

Today will have a hard time topping yesterday but it'll be great anyway. If you're watching games today -,Have fun and a bloody or 2 for me!

Iowa state was garbage. Leading scorer looked like he couldnt play ball.

A team like that goes down to a mid- major most of the time it's because of the underdog hitting 3's. What was suprising to me was that Iowa State got pounded on the offensive boards by like 20- 9. You rarely see that. That's where they lost the game.

Georges Niang did not have a good game. He is their go to scorer and supossed to have an impact on the boards. I haven't watched any of their games before but I'm amazed he averaged 16 a game. Other than that, the other guys just look like they wanted it more. More hustle which is how I believe a lesser talented team beats a more talented team. They want it more. They leave more of themselves on the court. The 3 point impact probably proves itself statiscally. Effort doesn't always show up in the stat sheet.

I'm calling it now. A wildcat team will win it all!!!! The 3 beat looking teams are all wildcats so far and really any of them can win it. Arizona is the team that scares me the most as a UK fan. They have been dominating everyone the last few months.

19 offensive rebounds reflects the effort.

Wofford College, averaging a student body of 1600 students, made its fourth trip in the past six years to the NCAA tournament. I had hoped we could go head to head with UNC. Oh  well, still proud.  Go Terriers!

Of Wofford College's coach, Mike Young:

During his distinguished tenure, Young has seen many Terriers go on to play professionally. He has coached Olympian Mike Lenzly, All-American Noah Dahlman, Academic All-American Brad Loesing and 15 All-SoCon selections.

Under Young’s leadership, the Terriers' resume includes impressive non-conference wins over the likes of Auburn, Cincinnati, Clemson, Georgia, Purdue, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Xavier and Wake Forest. Young believes in playing the best competition. A recent Wofford non-conference schedule was ranked as the most difficult in the nation by the RPI and Sagarin Ratings.

The success Young has achieved on the court has complemented his emphasis on academics. Young’s program has a 100 percent graduation rate for student-athletes who have completed their eligibility at Wofford.

I'm not really that much into college hoops, and I'm certainly not the pride of the Alumni Department, but as a Davidson man I am sorry to see those Wildcats go down in flames. Being outscored 2-1 in the second half does not represent too well. Since I have some fond memories of musical experiences in Cameron, time to hop aboard the Duke bus.

That is truely outstanding.

That's a super misleading stat. It means that students that are at college for 4-5 years graduate. If u look at any program, students who are finished with their eligibility usually graduate. Now that being said you play at wofford for a degree not to make NBA.

Bets of the day.

Maryland -4.5

Bellmont + 17

UCI + 8.5

Well Maryland killed my 3 for 3.

Thursday if you took the points in every game, you would have been 12-3 betting with 1 push(may not have been a push with other sites spreads). Wow!!! Today I think the favorites have covered more than not. Note I used betting favorites and not seeded favs as 2 betting favs were higher seeded.

Great choice Chuck! There's plenty of room for you on the Duke bus.

Davidson's a terrific school.....that must have been great ;)

At least Steph Curry made you alumni proud a few years ago.

Chuck - don't succumb do the dark side. You still have a choice, it's not too late.

Sure their were some great musical moments in a crappy field house. But don't let those experiences along with fun in the Piedmont and Triangle lead you down the path to Duke. While paved with good intentions, it leads to sorrow, shame, and hopelessness. Everyone here cares too much about you to see you just throw it all away.

UNC will embrace your goodness and make you a better man. Case and point, they understand that academic standards are more like individual differences. They just want to make sure that you succeed which is indeed a noble pursuit. The UNC bus is the path to peace and enlightenment Chuck. The high road may be lonely but at least there is little traffic.

You know what you have to do, right?

Oh God, whispers from my left shoulder and from my right. It's never easy on this side and now it is that much harder. Thanks, you all!

During my time there the spirit of Lefty was strong and Terry still held the reins during my freshman year. Good times in our crappy field house and good times at the Blue Devils joint. Great buddies at the Chapel too. Who would have thought it would come back to me like this all these years later?

All right rude, game on. My Bearcats are going to give you guys a game....for a half

You were dead on with that prediction until our defense clamped down with 3 minutes left 1st half. Ulis will be with us for several years and for that uk fans are very grateful. That kid has more heart than any player I've almost ever seen.
