sudds94
Filler: My Sisters and Brothers. Wow, this show was so on fire and magical! Lowell got smart and took out the seating on the floor so there was space galore for us crazy flailers. Knew right with the start on Shakedown that we were in for a grate trip, speedy and energetic. Very fun 1st set, but 2nd set was truly unbelievable! Got completely blown away during Scarlet/Fire, very powerful Estimated and you could hear the tease of Eyes at the end, so you were really super ready for it. Been seriously loving the Drums, Dino and Rob are amazing. Jam into NFA was super cool and just love that 70's style guitar whine in NFA, was seeing trails in my minds eye! Black Peter was very emotional and round-n-round to good lovin wore my feet raw. So glad that SISTERS and Brothers was the filler, simply LOVE that song and DSO is killing it! Thank you DSO for wonderful East tour and thanks to the Crew and Bands' families for sharing. Peace

TJed
Great fun last night in Lowell! Classic end of the Keith and Donna era 79 show. Liked the first set well-enough, highlights included the Minglewood and BEW. 2nd set was totally great from the first note of Scarlet through to the last note of Good Lovin. Everyone on stage was playing totally in sync and with passion and energy. Jeff Matson ripped on every song and Skip was totally great on bass. The Casey Jones encore was a real treat as well. Me and my re-creationists tribe love and never tire of the Re-creations! These re-creations best re-create the Grateful Dead experience for us. Wishing you all a fun and restful break. Come back soon. We're all grateful and amazed at what you all do!

tide
I've always wondered when I saw setlists like this one, what would it have been like to see scarlet-fire estimated-eyes in one set, in the 70's? Driving up to Lowell in the rain I was a bit sad about 73 and 77 shows missed earlier in the week. For me DSO recreations are a step above, and I really needed a recreation! My gosh did DSO raise the roof yesterday. Obviously great setlist, and DSO played so well together. Great venue and the dance floor setup was excellent, great crowd and positive vibes, fantastic sound, and the band was just on fire (no pun intended). Skip is bringing another dimension to the band, sounded so good in this hall. Loved hearing everyone clean through the mix. Thank you DSO for bringing this music into our lives, so thankful and quite frankly amazed we can enjoy and soak in these musical works of art from decades past. So special they are not actually gone as live music, doesn't seem possible. Looking forward to show lucky #13. Meanwhile waiting for this show on nugs. highway320
An excellent night, and what a great venue! The unique round center with the dome above the floor sounded just amazing.I had never been to this venue, but can't imagine it with chairs on that floor! There was so much room for everyone, felt just perfect. And the DSO crowds just seem to be getting better & better. Nothing but good vibes and insane sound!Boom.
Bobo86'
Aside from the incredible Scarlet-Fire, the jam out of estimated was really cool, the post drums jam was good stuff too. Anyone know of a recording of the show yet ? I wana hear that 2nd set again
Forum MVP Tea Posted December 8, 2014 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted December 8, 2014 DSO flat out owns their take on Scarlett > Fire! They just seem to take to jaw-dropping heights time after time - I always feel that spark as they tune it up and then let it fly! Glad you enjoyed the show - I suspect they'll announce it up on Nugs soon. Let's hope North Hampton pops up too if it hadn't already!
