Lets be honest, this whole Phil thing is stale. DSO is where its at. Phil could never sing and he still cant. The line ups suck, he's just cashing in while he still can.

Yeah > Shappy looms large.

Not a huge fan of Russo trying to overpower ballads and making everything a rock anthem.  Those 'moments' have their time and place but Joe misses the importance of musical diversity in making this music the experience that it is.

I love Phil no matter what.  Yeah some of his lineups leave much to be desired (with a HUGE exception being the Q), but I respect him experimenting with different approaches despite Shappys influence on where, when, and sometimes how.

If given the choice, DSO will always win out but I'd never waste an opportunity to see Phil if given the chance.

Have fun at TXR John > Let us know how it goes! :)

Phil, just seems like same old to me, i respect the man. I mean really still jaming at his age, AWESOME. I listen to every stream, and it just seems like the same old. DSO, you are never  sure what you are going to get, and i like that. Philzone bashes Bobby all the time and for me that is just wrong. That man gave us all many, many years of hapiness. They bash the shit out of JK as well, i think hes great.

Its been popular to bash bobby for a long long time. Before I was born. Jerry guitarists will always face criticism especially in comparison to jerry. Phil still plays an incredible bass. Never could sing.

Dark star does it for me on a whole other level. It's like the real thing I wasn't fortunate enough to receive. Their ability to take me to neverland is incomparable.
