Flew thru the blessed night and the magical moon to arrive at airport to pick up Aric and just made it to our hotel 2 blocks from the Fox here in Redwood City so I can finally post a review.  He brought the computer, which beats the heck outta Ipad review posting!!!

not too many 'tour kids' we all know about for this one, but ran into a lot of random friends from throughout the years and had a blast. Amber and I wore our matching DSO tank tops and went in to have a great time.  The late 80s vibes were perfect for what I was feeling and it may have been the best 80s show I have seen. Venue tried to hold back the dancing in the ailes through the first few songs but they couldn't stop us and most people wanted to sit anyway so the dance space was EPIC! Security went out of their way to be really great.

shakedown street had the ones that would dance the night away up and rocking from the get go.  Walking blues (with everyone beginning the comments about "DSO makes me like songs I skip on the tapes" conversations) was super fun and giddy feeling, letting us work our egos out of the scene a bit.

FOTD was absolute glory in its slow swoopiness.  JUST what I needed!  Queen Jane was sparkling with energy.  Jack A Roe was really throw down style and we surely did along with the band.  Super fun dancing!  Love DSO just a lil light, and was giggling at myself for some of my former opinions of the song lol.

I had mentioned victim in the earlier walking blues and queen jane conversations and it made me happy to get a first set one.  Romping don't ease, my feelings exactly!!! Set break came right on time and we all enjoyed the warm night.  Just gotta poke around!!

Second set blew my mind in ways I'm not really used to the post-70s shows doing (maybe I am and old past life opinions just die hard hehe).  I LOVE scarlet sugar!!! SOOO sweeeeet!!!!  Falling into ship of fools that made me cry and into terrapin that made myself leave what I think is myself.  What a moon!!! What a night! TERRAPIN!!!

One of my favorite drums space sections in a while.  Really really cool one thru n thru.  THANK YOU!  Into the Wheel, oh wow, DSO wheels really spin me out!!! I expected watchtower and it came and it was great.  Ripping.

SOTMSOTM. Somewhere in san francisco.... tears of joy! tears of knowing that because of this family I will never ever be ALONE! it just hit me today fully, that feeling that started during SOTM last nite, the profound understanding that no matter where life may lead, I will always have all of YOU.  That is something built to last, for sure.  I would rather be with all of YOU!

close out my white dakini jam with that sweet SSDD, and the place was wild with joy.  when they came back out and played black muddy river I continued to cry and was really happy at the super soulfull show we had dropped on us, like a big blue pancake in the face.

I could hear a lot more of and it stoned me, let the waters fall all over California!!! the on the rd again always makes me happy.  DSO always makes me happy! you ALL always make me happy!

Amber skipped out on her plans to go home and is holding down the rest of it with me, and now I have Aric here, too! Can't wait to see all of ya tomorrow!!!

remember, my heart is like a WHEEL, let me roll it to YOU!!!!

i said "there's no better" didn't say best :)

i can't really remember but guessing not everybody (the girlfriend who got up for 2 songs a show, etc) was up during jack-a-roe?  u would be hard pressed to get me to put (MNS) one of the two songs on the "there's no better list".  we all know there's alot on the list. the only drawback to jack not being best is to short-imo.

Eyes of the World not only gets me dancing but my heart singing

Well said!

This one makes me throw aside all the bullshit if my night's gone astray, and reminds me why I'm there, to get the fuck down

Shake off the world and be free!!!.... Wings a mile long just carried the bird away.

My absolute favorite to dance to especially with my identical twin BFFs

The Eyes have always had it for me also. It is the defining piece in the soundtrack of my life.

There is this too:

And/or it may require a change that hasn't come before>No more time to tell how, this is the season of what...

Whispering Hallelujah, hallelujah.....

. Danced at Phil Lesh in NYC gratefully.

Amazing song indeed and beautiful lyric, Chuck.

A most beautiful song to sing . .,,,..

Clinchers for me

I'll get up and fly away...

Got an empty cup, that only love can fill...

Without love in the dream it'll never come true.

dancing on the far left aisle, seeing hundreds of fans seated during the show, i felt compelled to loudly announce after about 3 songs that "if we all stood up and danced, we could all stand up and dance", this was met with solid crowd approval and apparently i was loud enough for robert to hear me on stage as he second my emotion and asked the crowd to get up on their feet....that's all it took and the place was rockin' the rest of the night...

does anyone have this audio "crowd banter" between songs, i'd love to hear it again...

I was at the sparsely attended Bloomington 2013 show and was one of 4 people standing at the stage to start the show. Rob E tells everyone seated to stand up and come down to the front which everyone proceeds to do. I always used to be a little nervous being the only one dancing when seeing live music but dancing to dead, I am completely care and worry free.
