Greetings Cosmic Brothers and Sisters..

Your timing has aligned with the stars. Old friends are gathering for a weekend of summer togetherness and we couldn't be more pleased to kick it off tonight with DSO in Pittsburgh. Some camping, guitars, and white water rafting to follow. Beautiful.

We have met many times before. An old friend of yours happens to be an old friend of mine from Loyola days. Cheers and Hello again.

Welcome to PGH ~ Have yourself a real good time. All the years combined.

Tonight was 4/3/90 Set 1, with an improvised (due to an Eaton illness I believe; he played the entire set 2, but sang none) Set 2 with Lisa.

I thought the 1st set was rockin, with Shakedown and Bucket starting things off with a bang.  The three-fer to close the set was also quite tasty, and included my 1st Picasso Moon (finally, after 158 DSO shows. In fact, first Picasso for me since GD 6/25/95).  In the 2nd just about everything was top notch, especially GDTRFB, Uncle John's, and the old school yet still very upbeat arrangement (remember, no Eaton vocals) on I Know You Rider.

China > Riders are just awesome show closers, am I right?!  And the orange & green lights.. brilliant!  Love that combo.

1st time at Stage AE, and even though the modern, contemporary look of the place didn't have a very homey feel to it at first, I gotta admit it's a cool joint.  Lots of space.  Place to exit the show and get some air.  Great sound, but not overpoweringly loud.  I highly recommend hitting this venue again, perhaps winter/spring '15.  The Burgh always brings it.  And we love it when DSO brings it to the Burgh.

Yes, Nary a note from Eaton in set 2. Was he sick as in illness or what happened the day 19 years ago when clock struck midnight?

Venue was wider than deep in indoor config. As no outdoor music in Burg after 11PM. I suppose only exception is when organ blares at PNC Park or Heinz which AE is in between.

Typical Pitt priorities lol.

Would have been awesome outdoors as night before when Lisa was also only in set 2

but entire show was original.
