With the wife out of the country for the next 2 weeks and me doin the single-fatherhood gig, I'm not sure if the GD meetup is in the cards.

I think my 8 and 5-yr old boys would be down until the popcorn and candy wore out or if the theatre had Wifi so they could binge out on the IPOD with the latest youtube video.  I know I need to start 'em young, but I'm not sure I'm ready for all the 'Vaping' questions.  That said, my 5-yr old's name is Charlie and Mr. Charlie is his favorite GD song (which will be performed) behind my vocal stylings of Crazy Fingers and Ramble on Rose.

What to do....My wife would not be down and I'm pretty sure "Don't tell Mom" will have a quick expiration.

Where's Dear Abby when you need her...

Good time......interesting video quality......oddly 3-D-like.

A fun glimpse at the band when they were hitting on all cylinders, well before the dark drugs began to take their toll. Jerry really was something to behold then. He was styling in a hip leather jacket buttoned all the way up, and he was using an ultra cool guitar strap. I really like listening to him play his Tele, before his guitar sound became so processed with the Irwin axes. There was a bit more more grit and rawness to his guitar sound that I really like. I also noticed how rare it was in those days that he actually looked down at his hands while he played. By the 80's he was mostly looking down the entire time he soloed.

Watching this film also had me admiring how much 2014 Phil resembles 1972 Phil, both physically and musically. Kreutzmann was swinging away in his usual awesomely jazzy style, and it was a mid-transition snapshot of the transition from Pig to the Godchaux's. Pig's one number was Mr. Charlie, and the band nailed it. He looked gaunt, but his vocals were solid.

All in all it was fantastic, and I look forward to going again next year!

Got me primed for the VA run ;)

By far the biggest turnout here of the four movie nights so far. And the green screen effect really did give it a 3 D type visual impact. When it first started I almost wondered where the glasses were.

I wish the film had let TOO finish going where it was going.
