Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted June 15, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 He lacks the winners edge. It's not win at all costs for him. The media has already tried to start the process of fans giving him a pass becauze of all the injuries. I will not. 2 point game with 4 and half to go. Call me crazy. I don't think jordan loses that game. I don't think bird or magic go down without a fight. The cavs caved as curry shined. I hope he knows comments like that don't help him get a pass. I've made that mistake before. I once said I was the best male dancer at the show tonight. I haven't been able to live it down since. Of course my moves have only gotten sweeter. Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted June 15, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 Also it seems like the analytics community and that branch of the media has just turned a blind eye to Brons shooting percentage and efficiency numbers. Averaging 37 or whatever doesn't mean much when you shoot 40 times with a percentage under 40. You get all the glory but you're hurting your team. Forum MVP Rude Posted June 15, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 I don't like Lebron personally but to do everything during a game will deplete you. Jordan was lucky enough to have a solid surrounding cast to take some of the burden off him. Also Jordan played in the illegal defense days which allowed clear outs where 8 players on the court could rest up and let 2 battle it out. Current NBA more resembles a college game then that era forcing one to play defense an entire game. Of course Jordan was better than Lebron, but there's only so much 1 player can do and Lebron is just gassed. Nba is way too long of a season. Basketball is the most intense cardio sport of all the major sports by far. He will be ready for a break after tomorrow's loss in game 6.
Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted June 15, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 I love pippen. Rodman too. Lebron has lost finals with plenty of a supporting cast. The cast just got hurt this year. He picks and chooses where he plays based on cast. He decided Wade was washed up. Wade was better than any other player jordan ever played with. Bosh is up there. Thing is jordan understood team game. Rodman defends and boards. He don't shoot. Pippen passes and defends. He also shoots but knows his role and gives up the shot to defer to jordan. Nobody on the Cavs has a role but Lebron. He hasn't let anyone on his team develop a role. He dominates the ball. His usage percentage is alarming. These guys in nba for reason. Delly saved the only 2 games they won. Lebron isnt a winner. Those are facts. He lost the finals with the best team and lesser talented team. He just loses. Forum MVP Rude Posted June 15, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 Sorry but D wade isn't better than pippen. Pippen was the key to the championships they won. Eliminate him and Jordan maybe wins 1. If Jordan wasn't on Chicago, pippen would have been considered a top 5 player in the league every year for 10 years. He was overshadowed, but was phenomenal. Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted June 15, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 Wade carried Shaq to a title. He was the best player in the league that year. The absolute best. Pippen benefited from playing with jordan. We are in the realm of opinion here with no right answer. I do not agree pippen was better than wade. Pippen didn't win titles while jordan played baseball. He was in his prime then.
Forum MVP Rude Posted June 15, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 Well wade did single handedly beat the number 1 ky in I think 2003. UK had won 23 straight without any big name players and were brilliantly coached by tibby smith that year. He had a triple double with over 30 points. He destroyed the cats and showed his nba potential on that Marquette team. That cats team was unranked until they run off 23 straight and had a stretch of around 10 games they won by around 9 points which is so hard to do. Keith bogans was the only nba draftee I think on that uk team
Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted June 15, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 I also wouldn't put pippen in top 5 for 10 years. Name the 10 years in question and I will name 10 players better each year. You think he's better than Hakeem and Ewing. Shaq and jordan. Isiah. Magic. David Robinson. Karl Malone. Jon Stockton. I definitely feel like in most years in question he falls outside of top 10 in league. I do feel that in terms of knowing his role and contributing he was huge but he had a role and it wasn't top 5 player.
Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted June 15, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 And yes, eliminate pippen and give him no one and he may only win a couple. Take away pippen and insert Hakeem or Ewing or Shaq and the bulls are even better. Pippen wins 0 without jordan. Wade already proved he can win without lebron. Not a LeBron fan ... far from it.. born and raised in Lorain a dying steel town on Lake Erie 20 miles west of Cleveland. .. we just want a championship. ... Browns town followed by Tribe town and then the Cavs ... we just want a title .. we got our Buckeyes football... but that is state wide ..

Forum MVP Dead duck Posted June 15, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 No way. I'm a bulls homer and I'm even wearing a pippen jersey as we speak, but no way. Never top 5. Maybe top 20. The league was full of hall of famers back then. D Wade was probably a top 5 at some point, but has more to do with the lack of great players in the league than his overall talent. Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted June 15, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 Wade had a 5 year run when he was top 5 or close in my opinion. First trip to finals for heat he outplayed lebron. He fell off quick. Injuries got him. I agree he benefitted from a down period historically.

Forum MVP Dead duck Posted June 15, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 Cavs got their 2 wins, made it respectable, but this series is Dellavad-over. Poor Cleveland fans have to watch warriors celebrate on their court.

If this wasn't like game 100 for Lebron I think cleveland can win. The cavs are just gassed. Sorry but I think this ends tonight. And I'm pretty sure if u had to pick national champs in football or nba u choose the buckeyes. But considering u guys in football are pulling top 5 recruiting classes while no one else in the big 10 is doing squat u will be there again. Even though the SEC recruited 70% of this years 5 star players and 40-50% of the 4-star players, all you have to do is win 2 playoff games as the SEC will beat each other up. Seemless thread drift complete.
Forum MVP Tea Posted June 16, 2015 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 16, 2015 For dramas sake, I would love to see Cleveland win 2nite and force a game 7. GS better not let it happen or they'll leave more to fate than they'd wish. A GS fan said it would be fine since they could clinch in the friendly confines - yeah right. Better choke out The Cavs when u have the chance - plus it will be another gut punch to add to Clevelands championship futility. GS - 108 Cavs -
Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted June 16, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 16, 2015 SEC overrated. Playoffs showed that. Florida st. Acc. Oregon pac 12. Winner ohio st big 10. They overrated in the SEC.
Forum MVP Rude Posted June 16, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 16, 2015 U can say sec overrated all you like but it doesn't change the facts that they get almost half of the blue chip prospects year in and year out. Go to rivals.com and look at football recruiting. 7 of top 10 ranked schools in recruiting from past year are sec. Ohio state and USC crack the top 10 as well. Alabama has had the top ranked class based on numbers assigned to each player b4 they are recruited to eliminate bias for the last 5 years. Georgia has been top 10 for 15 straight years recruiting. Now talent doesn't mean success but it sure does help.

Forum MVP Rude Posted June 16, 2015 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 16, 2015 Not winning every single year does not make you overrated. Not winning every single game does not mean you aren't a great team. No one wins every game. 4 teams in the sec have won a championship in the last 10 years. No other conference has had more than 1 win in the last 10. SEC is clearly the best conference. That doesn't mean they will have the best team every year but top to bottom no one compares.
