All the fall 77 Might As Well's Jerry is belting it out...10/29 and 11/1 come to mind...There were many nights that Jerry was over enunciated his s's and t's...and those were some of the best nights...Here's to Garcia feeling his oats!

Love the date references. Have been checking them out since this thread started. Some i was familiar with some have been completely new. Especially the 90's examples. Thank you guys for pulling the needles out of the haystacks

I just listened to that pure jerry release for the first time about a month ago. Awesome show through and through and the lucky old sun is one of the best performances of the show. Jerry really nailed the slow songs in his final years. God, I can only imagine what those songs must've meant to him after all those years.

Does anyone recall the marshmallow war that broke out before the Sept 1989 JGB Merriweather show? Thousands of them airborne!!!! My friend Laura couldn't remember my buddy's name, confusing it with another friend Malcolm. Her mnemonic we came up with lying star spangled beneath the trees just outside the show was ....Marshall as in marshmallow. Then we walked in and low and behold... the cream puff war. Pretty trippy beginning to a fabulous two nights!!!

Standing on the Moon - Pittsburgh 6/30/95 Well played and sweetly sung with a great, soaring solo and a vocal outro that you had to see to believe.( How many ways can you sing be with you ?) There was quality music being put out till the end. This was the last Standing, and it was one for the ages.

This is how I'll  always remember Jerry, He was strong, in good spirits and totally "on" musically at this, my last Dead show.

He seemed like a man that would live to be 1000 that night,

Perhaps this whole song, but this verse is my fave. I always loved this first set sweat maker!

Tumble down shack in Bigfoot County
Snowed so hard that the roof caved in
Delilah Jones went to meet her God
And the old man never was the same again

I'm not positive about the show, but I think it's the Cow Palace 74', where Jerry blows the line in I Know You Rider.

Instead of "I wish I was a headlight..." he sings "I know you...headlight, on a northbound train..."

Then seemingly to make up for his mega-obvious mistake, he proceeds to blast out the rephrase, "I WISH I WAS A HEADLIGHT! ON A NORTHBOUND TRAINNNNNNNNNNNN!!!"

I'm pretty sure he goosed the volume knob on his guitar too, for good measure!

The crowd went nuts.  And all was forgiven! :D
