One of the finest concerts I've ever experienced, anywhere, by anyone. A beautiful cool evening, and the band seemed really excited to be playing outside again. Literally every tune was a highlight. The energy level both onstage and in the crowd was unbelievable. One of those magical nights when it all just comes together, I felt so privileged to be there.

that's a correct assumption brian..they were very well done too..crowd loved the Keep On Growin> Deal, great way to end the set. Skip absolutely nailed the Tom Thumb. really impressed. Stranger, 4th St. to open 2nd set was beautifully done

The Keep on Growing from 6/14/85 (20th anniversary show) is awesome. That whole show is very fun and has an exciting setlist. Dew, China Doll, Comes a Time in the second set. Comes a Time is a bit of a let down but Dew and China Doll with the jam afterwards is killer.

It was twenty years ago today, Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play.

Fun show. Have had a good time both times now at Jannus, cool outdoor venue with a big tree in the middle. It was definitely humid but such is life in Florida. After the slanted floor at the Plaza in Orlando I was hoping for flatter conditions. Not really the case at Jannus...the ground in general there is very inconsistent. It will change from bricks to grippy concrete with big gaps in between and differing angles of slant. This coupled with a crowded and drunk populace made for difficulties. Luckily I was able to find a spot off to the side, next to the merch table, where no traffic flowed and few had the gumption to dance with me(not that I don't like to share, but I might tend to scare some mellower folks away...). So I had a nice 10x6 in which to dance(or 'twirl' as a friend referred to it). In general I prefer to be in the mix with people, dancing communally, but sometimes you just gotta find a quality spot and work it.

I like to call these shows DSO Eclectic Electives. No ties to any one era, usually some JGB, everybody sings something. Anything is possible and it is difficult to guess what might come next. The following night would showcase one of DSO's more recent developments, the DSO ISO(in the style of) Elective. Both very enjoyable, and I could see the band doing more electives giving that they have multiple style options.

This show didn't completely knock my socks off but I did have a damn good time. This is one just seemed to pale a little bit in comparison to Orlando's show the night before. The Shakedown was strong. Uncle>River happened. Tom Thumbs was perfect, more Skip! I was pretty unfamiliar with "baby what to do you want", which is rare experience for me at a DSO show. Love Gomorrah, wish the crowd did as much as me and would SHut uP!! All over now got them dancing again and they rocked it solid. I played a DSO version of this tune for a friend of mine in the car recently and when it ended he turned to me and said, "that's how that song is played!". Keep on Growing was fun, I've heard that one a handful of times. Fun dancing for that and the raging Deal that would follow. Humidity....sweat...

Loved the first half of set 2, especially 4th street. They do this song so well, it just went on and on and could have continued so for all I care! Now I'm pretty always hoping for an Eyes but my spider sense told me not to get excited this time. Uncle John's worked...I would have preferred Eyes :).  Post Space wasn't my favorite selection of songs but I thought they played them exceptionally well. My complaint is no Jerry Ballad. Where's the World to Give, Comes a time? can't win em all. These are thoughts that occurred to me afterwards....it's all perfect when it's happening.

People in Florida sure love to take Iphone videos of people dancing....maybe one will go "viral" as they say....
