Brian NJ
This was amazing setlist played to perfection. I was at the original and believe last night it was performed the way the dead wanted to perform.

Forum MVP Mango Posted February 25, 2014 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 25, 2014 Somehow this show feels like a distant memory.... ...after all the fun I had a couple of years ago in Fla, I had to make a return. When it comes to following this band around(or any band), it's great to have friends all of over the country. Vince, Sue, and Torin made this trip not only easier but downright perfect. I'll be back next year for sure if I can make it happen. So this show. I realized quickly upon entering the venue that we were in for a 90s show. Doesn't give me initial bursts of excitement but it's DSO and I know that it doesn't matter what they play. Beyond that, I know that my own expectations and desires can easily taint my experience so I'm ready for anything....and when that anything is the Jstraw>Bertha>Walking Blues that we got to open the show I find it easy to stop 'thinking' about anything at all. FOTD and Masterpiece were sweet indeed but that LOSER was SICK. Somewhere in the middle of that song Skip dropped a serious Bomb, one which did not go unnoticed by anyone. Definitely one of the highlights of the weekend right there. Cassidy was strong, with a nice lengthy but focused Jam. Love the triumphant return to the Chorus after the jam..."wheel to the storm and fly". And then New Speedway! One of those pleasant surprises in a 90s set. Strong second set as well. The Playin was nice and long. Watchtower>Dew probably the highlight of the show. Only complaint of the show was the slanted floor, hurts my knees, hips, and back.
