Forum MVP Dead duck Posted January 24, 2014 Forum MVP Report Share Posted January 24, 2014 I realize alot of you have seen too many shows to be chasing anything. But, for ever mine was rubin & cherise. But still chasing some. 1. Viola lee blues 2. Mission in the rain 3. Standing on the moon And Lisa 1. Strange man 2. Hurts me too 3. White rabbit So what are some of your faves that you are still chasing or just some you are hoping to get this round.
JacksonPollockDancer
I got my death don't in DC in November, been waiting for that like 2 years. That's a good list you got there. I got a mission when skip was doing his trial, wowie zowie.
Forum MVP Tea Posted January 24, 2014 Forum MVP Report Share Posted January 24, 2014 The Eleven was the white whale for me which was finally landed at Jubilee last year. Viola Lee still eludes as does Russian Lullaby. Here are othe ones I always relish: Visions Gomorrah Mission Cats Midnight Moonlight Harder They Come Simple Twist Attics Low Spark (come on Jeff and Rob > get your mates on board) Tangled Dear Prudence Ask me tomorrow....there will be others

Forum MVP Rude Posted January 24, 2014 Forum MVP Report Share Posted January 24, 2014 Haven't seen a tangled yet. Got that sick Cats on New Years which makes me hope that they will start unleashing that like they did money money and white rabbit last tour. Cosmic Mike
The Eleven was a big one for me too and was absolutely delighted to hear it at the last Jubilee. Stop That Train was a big one for me I never thought I'd get. Here is what I can think of: Caution If I had the World To Give Clementine Desolation Row Dark Hollow Positively 4th St. Knockin' on Heaven's Door Let it Rock Days Between It takes a lot to laugh Mountains of the Moon There are a few more early Dead songs and JGB songs I haven't heard that I'd really like. Thankfully have really caught a lot of great stuff when I look back.
Forum MVP Supplicated Velvet Thunder Posted January 25, 2014 Forum MVP Report Share Posted January 25, 2014 Gabe is always talking about what he really wants to see from DSO. looking over the lists and thinking hard, I just can't come up with much. He really wants a Cats down under the stars….. OH YEAH, ROB B SMOKESTACK LIGHTNING, THAT is what I WANT. I missed it in CO that time cause I was still in CALI and hadn't made it home yet. GRRRR! I need this one! Also, don't think I've seen the Katie Mae he does either……. I WANT! Other than those, I am very grateful I have been at the right shows at the right time to see most of what has been listed here that they play. Some great memories and I look forward to more. When are we gonna get some pre-69s?!?! even if just one set and a huge filler show…..?

Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted January 25, 2014 Forum MVP Report Share Posted January 25, 2014 I want a Senor. A Gathering Flowers would be nice, but can't say I'm chasing them. I don't think DSO ever played them.
Blindman
Another nice part of DSO... Any "white whale" ever chased in my GD days have been paid out by the DSO in spades. Salud.

Forum MVP Tea Posted February 5, 2014 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 5, 2014 I saw the GD do their final performance of Rueben and Cherise at Buckeye Lake in '91 My jaw hit the grass once those first notes surfaced. The vitamins were taking over as that started. Wow. I was fetal for the LIG that followed - pulled it together at break I've never seen DSO do G-L-O-R-I-A. I know I'd like it. vbf3
Always was sorry to have missed the few GD shows where Weir sang Roadrunner (JGB). Other biggie I have always seem to miss is Casey Jones......
franknkeene
It appears to me that ever since Jeff joined the band, Lucy S.D. is no longer played. Any insight?
Forum MVP Tea Posted February 5, 2014 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 5, 2014 According to Edbase (through 6/2013), Lucy in the Sky has only been played 1x since JK left. That show was 4/20/2010. For the life of me, I'm not sure if it was Jeff or Stu Allen playing lead. Someone out there will know: Show 1795 - Tue, Apr 20, 2010 Eureka Theater, Eureka, CA Original Setlist Set One Samson and Delilah ; Dupree's Diamond Blues ; Hell In A Bucket ; Easy Wind ; High Time ; The Music Never Stopped > Deal Set TwoFeel Like A Stranger ; Doin' That Rag ; Playing In The Band > Uncle John's Band > Drums > Space > Dark Star (verse two) > All Along The Watcher > China Doll > Good Lovin' Encore Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds Not sure why it has never resurfaced. That could make some serious hay with that tune. Also > At the risk of being extremely repetitive: LOW SPARK OF HIGH-HEELED BOYS. They'd own that shit.
