OK with new shows appearing at Nugs today, I am wondering what you guys think were the best shows on this tour.  I love originals and think Im going to start with the night 2 of Best Buy as its an intriguing original.  I was hoping to get the new years run but from the nugs guys post it looks like those wont appear until February as Rob doesnt have the tapes of those shows with him.

Thanks guys. 1 thing just got confirmed for me. Skip does love dropping the Phil bombs. He's pushing my sub to its limits. I'm such a sound snob when listening at home to the dead that besides Betty boards many shows have soundboards that don't work for me. When I can't hear Phil at all or can't hear the kick drum I just can't listen to the shows really. It sucks that the best Dead recordings were in 77. Equipment got better but the soundboards didnt. I have friends that like DSO live but only listen to the dead on archive. I love listening to DSO SBDs b/c the quality is so solid. Robs SBDs are def better than many of the other jam bands releases on nugs IMO. I'm so glad he's a sound snob live and with his releases. Last night a friend asked me to go to Carbondale IL to watch a dead cover band called another dead cover band and I had to say no as I was afraid I'd be depressed hearing them after just seeing DSO. Was just too soon lol.

I would ammend that to  "72 through 77" but your point is well taken.   That said, how do you feel about audience tapes?  Plenty of excellent late '80s-early '90s stuff out there to keep your sub well lubed.

Listen to 4/8/71.

This is the finest sounding tape/show ever.

Big words I know, but listen first and then comment.

Stereo separation. Bobby on one side and Jerry on the other. Phil plays lead throughout.

Listen.

Now.
