BurbDad
Original Setlist Please feel free to make corrections. Still a little groggy. Shakedown Bucket Big Boss Man Brown Eyed Women Masterpiece School Girl Dire Wolf Tom Thumb's Standing On The Moon Johnny B Goode China>Rider It's A Man's World St. Stephen Terrapin D/S Alligator If I Had The World To Give One More Saturday Enc. White Rabbit Great show. Oh my god, bass bass and more bass. Monster bombs that literally shook the floor. Highlights for me were Shakedown - fast and powerful with just enough slinky disco groove. Killer School Girl. Actually Rob crushed a ton of Pig tunes. Great harp from Lisa. Always love Masterpiece and this one was fantastic. Tom Thumb's was huge just because of the sheer joy it was delivered with. You rarely someone singing and simultaneously smiling from ear to ear. SOTM was epic. One of my all time favorite Garcia ballads. China Rider was excellent. Mans World was a rare treat for me. Stephen was massive. Trippy and subtle yet a complete cacophony when needed. That was my first World To Give. Never saw Jerry do that one. Very nice. White Rabbit was better than I ever could have imagined. By far for me however was that insane Alligator. Easily the best jam of the night. Security was omni-present on the floor but oh well. Great great show. Thank you so much to this outstanding hard working band. Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted December 1, 2013 Forum MVP Report Share Posted December 1, 2013 I'm kicking myself looking at this set list, although I think I am going to personally boycott the Best Buy until they decide to stop sexually assaulting show goers and in other ways over stepping their bounds when performing "pat downs" on people who paid to attend a show tonight. The venue and promoter should work out their own terms with the local police instead of offering up the very people who support your venue. I feel by attending a venue that engages in this practice I would condoning and promoting their behavior. I do not and I will not. But wow it looks like DSO seriously crushed it. The set lists is almost worth letting a male security staffer fondle your genital area. Hell it may just have been worth it. I hope the accounts I am hearing are exaggerated and to be honest, I'm sure they are, but I don't think what I'm hearing is unfounded.
JenL1125
Amazeballs is not a term that I use. Ever. I have had amazing, beautiful, breathtaking and miraculous things happen to me in this life, but anything I would describe as amazeballs? Not so much. Until that Alligator happened last night. That Alligator was AMAZEBALLS!!! Just ballsassamazing!!!! It was the AMAZEBALLS ALLIGATOR OF 2013! And that's how I'll always lovingly think of it. Thank you, DSO. mcgriv
Previous night was great, this was spectacular! Brilliant set list, loved every minute. Well worth the long journey from Nottingham, England! To the girl dancing during the (knock-out) White Rabbit to the left of the stage (you know who you are!) - you're awesome.
